    • Part of the problem is that industrial food industry has grown so big they have lots of money to throw at surveys that prove they're blameless and yes, Johnll, the lobbyists that throw money to the politicians to keep them in favor. Shut Monsanto down? Have you heard their recent commercial lately about how they support farmers? Yeh, right, but only those people who study this issue know how full of shit they are.

    • excerpt:
Commercial beekeeper Clint Walker, who is based in the Central Texas town of Rogers, has been suspicious of pesticide use since the number of his hives dropped from 2,000 in summer 2005 to 600 in January 2006. The portion of his hives that pollinated cotton fields that had been sprayed in West Texas collapsed, while his hives that stayed in Central Texas and pollinated wildflowers experienced no problems.

No problems with the bees that pollinated wildflowers!
That should send red flags flying all over the place!

    • Well, I certainly would not be surprised if coated seeds were the reason for colony collapse disorder. Agro-industry is trying to re-engineer our natural foods to feed a growing population on this planet. However, if we're killing off or mutating animal lives in the process, we'd better take a long hard look at who and what is feeding the world and how much of our industrial food industry is really focusing on the bottom dollar. If we think there's a health crisis in American now...
