The Palestinian issue is a subject where the truth often disappears buried by mountains of ideology. The Western media, Italians in particular, have long had a strongly pro-Israel stance that in practice hides all the news regarding the difficulties and sufferings of the Palestinians. The Islamic media, and some western political areas, do the opposite and blame everything on Israel.

    • It seems pretty fair, except for the fact that no one should be expected to lay down and be displace because of an international decree. And to date, Israel survives off of the unilateral support and appeasement by the United States. The writer seems to suggest that there's nothing left to do and the suffering of these people makes perfect sense. They replaced two diametric narratives with a more unhelpful one. Everyone should already be aware that the situation is complex and neither side is without blame with how the situation became so heartbreaking. But at the same time Israel has all the ability to create a better future which they won't do without pressure. Which brings us back to where we are.
