James Cameron’s Avatar is Disney’s Pocahontas?Well, we all know the similarities between “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and “Forrest Gump,” but what about the latest record-breaking 3D epic from James Cameron?
I thought it was the sci-fi version of “Dances With Wolves” (or maybe “FernGully: The Last Rainforest”) but Matt Bateman makes a pretty good argument for James Cameron’s “Avatar” actually being the same film as Disney’s “Pocahontas.”

O,....and of course they need to be "civilizing" the natives,....indoctrinating those they do not enslave into the corporate "religion of greed and plutocratic hierarchy". (There should be some giant scale ravishment and techno-sexism thrown in as well,....perhaps giant blue gurls forced to bear an army of corporate blue cyborg-clone soldiers or some such over-the-topness). They have a lot to play with.

They need to make one 100 years in the future,....where the planet is becoming highly polluted,....and Pandora becomes "Toxic Avenger World-Mind-Planet'! MONSTERS MONSTERS MONSTERS! ( O,....and of course they need to be rounding up the Indians,....er,..."Blue Giants". ) Perhaps the Picts,....er,...."Blue Giants" can throw the Roman Legions out of the U.K. A giant floating rock wall circling the planet perhaps?
First rule,....stealing EVERYTHING history has to offer. Second rule "Make it BIGGER"!p.s. That movie was a blast.
