What are your views on the lobbying scandal and how it'll effect the election? Do think this story is worse for Labour than the expenses scandal?
An investigation by the Sunday Times and Channel 4's Dispatches video taped what appears to be former Labour cabinet ministers using their influence for lobbyists "in return for cash". In Byers case, it's stated in the past he persuaded other ministers to 'tone down' new rules to benefit certain companies for cash.
The current story is that Byers today asked the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards to investigate the allegations made by the documentary/article. Other MPs caught in the video are Patricia Hewitt, Geoff Hoon (both in the news again) and Margaret Moran.
