MGMT stream new album 'Congratulations' online following leak

The band says the plan was to release the album for free on an official website April 12. However, due to a leak the release was pushed forward, "Hey everybody, the album leaked, and we wanted you to be able to hear it from us,".

If the Album was going to be free online, do you think it was a bad idea for someone to upload the album for illegal downloads?
