Since January 2011, Global Cultural Diversity Films (GCDF) Inc (headquartered in New York-USA and Birmingham-UK) has been producing, directing and editing digital/HD videos, specially with the most recently created unique TV series titled: "VOICES OF WOMEN WORLDWIDE" for the newly created WebTV network VOWW-TV, which will be transmitted across over 100 WebTV networks from May 2011.
A boutique digital/HD produciton company since 2005, GCDF Inc. passionately believes that VOWW-TV programming will link and build rural and urban communities by sharing ideas and assisting women to make realistic things happen. This WebTV was conceived after GCDF Inc. started interviewing dozens of women from all over the world who arrived to attend the United Nations 55th Commission on the Status of Women (CSR) from 22 February to 7 March 2011.
During those two weeks, GCDF's team noticed how only Hollywood stars and celebrated personalities, pop/rock musicians and op/pop artists and fashion designers (who had lent their names) were swamped by the mainstream national and international media. It was this reality that created the TV series for "VOICES OF WOMEN WORLDWIDE CHANNEL. GCDF recognized and interviewed many of those "voiceless" women seated in small and larger committee rooms at the UN Church Center, the Salvation Army building, etc. They spoke as national orators of their countries, sharing on film what was and will be happening in their countries and some of those spectacular accomplishments achieved in their rural and urban communities in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, South and South East Asia.
On 24 February 2011, there was the official launching and creation of "UN WOMEN" at the United Nations, declared by the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. He announced the appointment of the former President of Chile Ms Michelle Bachelet, Executive Director. (Watch the historical event on YouTube):

Finally, there was the celebration to mark the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day - one day - exclusively commemorated annually worldwide - where all those ordinary women played extraordinary roles in the history of their rural and urban communities.

It also became that one day to reflect on progress made for women's human rights and called for more radical changes and empowerment for the girl-child, young women and all women through education and daily communication.
Therefore, VOWW-TV invites all womens organizations to partner, host, share and become involved in distributing information and evolve in our regular syndications over YouTube, Goggle TV, iLaunching VOICES OF WOMEN WORLDWIDE (VOWW-TV) Tunes, Facebook, Verizon FiOS, TiVO, Sony TVs, Vizio, the iPad and videoblogging and website networks. One of our partners attracts over 140 million viewers a month.
