    • I'm sorry, although I recognize the repugs are not only conscious liars but couldn't find reality with both hand, as Bill Mahar said on Lawrence O'Donnell's show tonight, Obama isn't acting like the Democratic president we elected. Is he so in love with being known as a "great compromiser" that he won't even stand up for the very things we need to avert disaster?

Obama reminds me of the character on the Original Star Trek series, "A Taste of Armageddon", Ambassador Fox, who was sent to open diplomatic relations with the planet Eminiar VII, that was engaging in a "war" with a neighboring planet, with computers ordering civilians into disintegration chambers, and even after the leader of Eminiar VII, Anan 7, captured Kirk & the landing party, lied & reneged on promises, orders Scotty to ignore all the lies & undiplomatic behavior and cooperate with Anan 7 and lower the shields, in violation of orders Kirk gave before he left.

One cannot form an agreement to a compromise with someone that lies, takes hostages and is willing to see indiscriminate destruction of innocent civilians. Why does a guy who is apparently not stupid, like Obama, not understand this?
