- Description
- infoMania, Current’s half-hour satirical news show, is looking for a new editor. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience, good comedic timing, an obsession with the media, and a deep love for the show. (Yeah, we’re vain like that.) Hosted by Conor Knighton and co-starring Brett Erlich, Sarah Haskins, Ben Hoffman, Bryan Safi and Sergio Cilli, the show airs on Current TV on Thursdays at 10 pm Eastern and Pacific Times and can be found online at http://current.com/infomania.
- Responsibilities
• Edit fast-paced, smart, funny material for weekly satirical news show
• Pitch/Produce/Edit (and possibly even write) other segments for the show
• Work closely with the senior producers to ensure weekly delivery of a quality half hour
• Ensure that each piece meets our broadcast standards- Skills
- • Expert knowledge of Final Cut Pro
• Working knowledge of Apple Motion and Adobe PhotoShop
• Experience working in comedy/clip shows
• Passion for user-generated content
• 3-5 years of professional experience editing for TV
• Entrepreneurial, energetic, highly organized, and effective team player
