Great format - aweful technical implementation

I think the debate format was one of the best in years....... But the use of youtube was distracting at best - the quality stunk - the lip sync was aweful...

    • This was by far the best debate to date. All the candidates still dodged the questions but it wasn't as easy for them. Current should have pioneered this one, especially since it was the Democratic debate because we could have done a much better job, however I don't think type of thing is our bag baby. At least right now.

    • A really good debate. I like the idea of having the general public participate, but why not pick the best submitted videos and have a professional team re-shoot them? I get it that thats the whole look their going for and everything, but certainly the technology is there to soup up the videos a bit. I mean at least correct the sync issues. That's a frigin' huge flat screen, come on! I saw this more as a YouTube sell out to CNN thing. Quite the logo placements that's for sure.

    • anderson is taking the high road and saying Cnn/YouTube changed the scope of debates forever..... "i don't see how future debates can happen with out UGC from now on"

    • we could have done a much better job - at least technically- especially since they edited the youtube questions - they were not live
