There were four things missing from YouTubes debate yesterday(pardon my groginesstheres probably more):
Our demographics interests (no one has done anything about our interests yet and theres no break-out candidate thats capturing our minds)
The debate---this was a virtual TOWN MEETING (we dont debate any more...its a roll call of questions, the candidates never confront each other in the present formLincoln/Douglas was a debate http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln-Douglas_debate)
Virtually no substanitive political News was made
#4) CNN picked the questionsnot YouTube, and not the audience. Whats the difference between going out and shooting MOS video of questions and hitting play at a Ted Koppel Town meeting and what we saw last night? The audience got to see the questions, but they didnt have a say in which ones were answered... - 5 years ago

I thought John Edwards really came across as creepy. I thought he might make a good vice but no longer. He is definitely off of my radar. If you watch the debate every question he was asked he would start by repeating the question, rephrasing the question and then asking a similar question thereby wasting most of his allotted time and ducking out of an answer.

Slate: The highly hyped experiment in user-generated content worked. In the privacy of their homes, people were at ease, and their videos reflected that.

This is titillating. I have never seen politics this way. It's refreshing.

here's a good post from Jeff Jarvis; he says, "I have no doubt no doubt that we, the people, would have done a better job picking the questions than CNN did."
Current TV should be hosting the next debate :)
