A recent poll shows that people don't seem ready for a Mormon president - tough luck, Romney. An ABC News-Washington Post poll found 32% of Republican leaning voters are uncomfortable with the idea of a Mormon president. But it could be worse: 46% negativity towards a Muslim candidate, and 63% for one who doesn't believe in God.

unfortunately, more and more people in this country believe our laws should reflect religious doctrine (often to the detriment of those citizens who are either of a different religion or who are atheists). the findings of that poll in no way surprise me, but i think it says a lot about who americans are as people.
