New era in political advertising

The :30 spot will soon be a thing of the past as new, grassroots forms of political jousting arise in video. Here's an ad that John Edwards created for the CNN/YouTube debate--it's a response to all the slams about his alleged obsession with his appearance ($400 haircuts, etc.). And possibly a specific response to this bit of UGC negative video sparring: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AE847UXu3Q
It was also perhaps the only CNN/YouTube candidate video that spoke in the language of UGC: funny, mashuppy, not pedantic, indirect, catchy.
