    • great pod! Just being a women in the military is hard enough, but being a women deployed, especially in a country that doesn't appreciate women in a position of authority, is a feet! I served 4years in the army, but was never deployed, so i take my hat off to these ladies.

I have to say it's almost just as hard being the one sitting at home worrying, but even more so when you're dual military! Both my hubby and i were differant branches, iwas army and he was marines. And while he went through the turmoils of deployment and missing me, i went through the turmoils of everyday military life as well as most of my pregnancy with our first child alone. The weeks without phonecalls, the days without sleep, worrying about him, being in and out of the field and the troubles of having a not very easy pregnancy, were enough to make you go insane!

I think current should do something on dual military couples and their deployments.

    • I ran convoys in Iraq, from TQ to Anaconda for 16 months. E 2/136 CAB. Stay strong, keep your eyes open, and don't back down from a fight. Keep close to your truck team, they are your life. God's Speed, Ladies and come home soon.

    • I guess I'm the only one so far who found this piece disturbing...especially the bit where one of the chicks laments over not being able to shoot something while giggling... I guess the military isn't too keen on having any respect for human life.

The only thing I kept thinking was that these poor women were too young and misinformed to be there in the first place.

she didnt get to shoot someone who was shooting at her to begin with retard and the military does value human life thats why they have to have PID (positive identification) of the person shooting at you so you dont just shoot random people

    • What a joke - women in the military.
Actually the joke is Stacey Masters. Get her off the camera and this would be a better program.
      Stacey Masters is a joke.

    • They (the go'vt) talk about spreading democracy, the soldiers are nothing but pawns; but remember this--in less than a month we'll be celebrating our own insurgency--THE FORTH OF JULY. Now the US has become the redcoats, bullying all over the world. How soon we forget! Why be proud to be a redcoat??

    • Hope they make it back. As an aside, Blacks have NO business fighting in racist, imperialist debacles like this one.

    • These Female Soldiers are my Sisters-In Arms. I am a member of the 423rd TC. Not mentioned in this video is a fantastic Female Soldier named PFC Jackie May of 1st Plt. I admit to being a Soldier of the old school and not giving much credit to women in the military. PFC May made a believer out of me, along with the Soldiers in this video. I respect these women for all they have shown me about thier capabilities.

God Bless them and all our Soldiers, male and female.

    • But should women be eligible for the same combat roles as men? In most countries they are not, but this may be changing.
