The State Department calls Iran a state sponsor of terror, and Ahmadinejad has called the Holocaust "a myth" and urged for Israel to be destroyed. Yet he is traveling to New York to address the United Nations' General Assembly. He was scheduled to appear Monday at a question-and-answer session with Columbia faculty and students as part of the school's World Leaders Forum.

Ahmadinejad was on 60 minutes tonight. Columbia University President Lee Bollinger has resisted requests to cancel the event, and has promised to introduce the talk himself with a series of tough questions on topics including Ahmadinejad's views on the Holocaust, his call for the destruction of the state of Israel and his government's alleged support of terrorism.

Freedom of speech is one of the founding principles of this country. On the other hand, I don't know that it does anyone a service to listen to someone (he could probably be classified as a nut job) say that the holocaust didn't happen.
