I liked the movie it had a pretty interesting view on things but some of it is just outright lies, a lot of the quotes are out of context, and many of the happenings have no real proof behind them.
conspiracyscience.com/articles/zeitgeist
check that out its pretty interesting.
Cant wait til Zeitgeist the solution comes out

Exactly who is behind the video is unclear, although someone with the moniker of “Peter J.” has posted an online letter claiming credit and explaining Zeitgeist’s message to those who may have somehow failed to grasp the worldview that the video hammers home.
And what is that worldview, pray tell? Religions in general, and Christianity in particular, are primarily systems of social control. 9/11 was an inside job and the destruction of the WTC twin towers and building 7 were aided by controlled demolition. And finally, International Bankers, through the Federal Reserve and the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), control our money and our future, leading to, ta da, the coming One World Government and the microchipping of everyone.
Exactly how all this fits together is left to the viewer’s imagination or, presumably, the film-maker’s hash pipe. For conspiracy buffs, this is all pretty standard fare, and, indeed, aficionados of the genre will find little new in “Zeitgeist.” The notions that most religions were originally a kind of solar worship, and that the Jesus Christ story recapitulated the mythos of numerous other “dying gods,” were floating around in the late 1700s. Fittingly, the video features a quote from Thomas Paine reducing Christianity to warmed-over sun worship, which was a daring bit of religion-baiting 200 years ago, albeit not so earth-shattering today.
The nefarious International Bankers meme has been propagating itself since at least the mid-1800s and has long been a mainstay of radical right-wing circles where it has often overlapped with mutterings about Jewish cabals.
The 9/11 truth segment of the video is, of course, of much more recent vintage, but, here too, it mostly repeats accusations that have gotten widespread play in the uber-skeptic milieu.
Unfortunately, like most propaganda, it doesn’t play fair with its intended audience. At times, while watching it, I felt like I was getting Malcolm McDowell’s treatment in Clockwork Orange: eyes pried wide open while getting bombarded with quick-cut atrocity photos. At other times, Zeitgeist engages in willful confusion by showing TV screen shots of network or cable news with voice-overs from unidentified people not associated with the news programs. If one weren’t paying close attention, the effect would be to confer the status and authority of TV news upon the words being spoken. Even when quotes or sound bites are attributed to a source, there’s no way to tell if they are quoted correctly or in context. Late in the video, there’s a supposed quote from David Rockefeller, which, if genuine, would be an astounding confession of complicity in mass manipulation. But, of course, the quote is not sourced or dated, which renders it useless. (The video’s website does feature a Sources page, but a hodge-podge list of books, with no page numbers cited, is of little value for source verification.)
It’s a shame, really, that Zeitgeist is, ultimately, such a mess. There are plenty of legitimate questions about what transpired on 9/11, just as there are plenty of shady doings in international finance or puzzling aspects of religious history, for that matter. And what is coming down in the name of National Security is truly unnerving. Yet, bundling them all together in disjointed fashion does justice to none of them. Time and again, Zeitgeist maximizes emotional impact at the expense of a more reasoned weighing of evidence. But, perhaps that’s the intention. The video’s producer does inform us that “It is my hope that people will not take what is said in the film as the truth . . .”

While Bush won't give a flip, at least we are publicizing this to those who have some doubt as to what is going on.
I think the last word will be whether or not they are forced to try to enforce martial law with Blackwater or the U.S. Military. If we do our part and spread the word, the refusal of the U.S. Military to march against American citizens will be key.
Already, many in the military know of this film.
I believe, that Bush and Cheney will stage a "self-strike" somewhere in the U.S. if McCain is not elected. The "rescue" of those citizens will mark the rounding up of the first U.S. detainees.
Because of the fear created in the rest of the population, the martial law state will grow from there with threats to water supplies, food sources, interruption of power sources and other things that take citizens "out of their homes" almost voluntarily.

If the government knows about films such as this (which i'm sure they do), what do you think they plan on doing? Maybe they won't react at all, giving the general population the idea of the government seeing it as just another documentary. What do you guys think they might do?

Resolute, I am still hung up on where Noah put the dinosaurs, the saber-toothed tigers and the wooly mammoths.
Zeitgeist names many faiths that used much of the same lore that later appeared in the Bible long before the Bible was ever written.

yes yes yes. I'm glad people are talking about this movie. Jubal - I'm trying to get my college to do a showing of the movie on March 15th, my roommate thinks it's a bad idea to get too involved with controversial ideas, even get in trouble with the school....but I don't want to say to people who come "You have to believe everything you see in this movie" - I just want it to be seen, get people thinking, talking, caring.

When my friend first had me watch Zeitgeist.
My only response was Propaganda.
But now that I have been informed of what was on the movie. It opened my mind, and I have realized things more critically. Its amazing the things that become more obvious once informed. I am thankful. - 3 years ago

Jubal, Wow. I apologize for not having recognized how open minded you are. You have been through a lot. Many of the groups you mentioned I am familiar with. I think we are much alike for I am not defending Christendom as it may seem, for modern Christianity is a mixture of Greco, Roman paganism. Simply put-it has a lot of leaven. God commanded leaven be put in the bread of the Pentecost feast (as opposed to no leaven at Passover) so He fully knew what would happen to the church after Pentecost. Saul was crowned King on Pentecost (wheat harvest) and given authority for 40 years. The church today is much like Saul's reign. Saul thought God would rubber stamp anything he did because he was king rather than knowing the mind of God and seeking Him like Jesus did. Hence denominations today are more like Saul's rule which ended with an evil spirit in the leader. David overcame Saul. Many who are excommunicated today are the David's. They see the leaven in the church which is lawlessness (a sham.) Man is in need of salvation because he is mortal. The hope is an immortal body. This is the good news. Because of what Jesus did, God is not imputing Adam's sin on man anymore, but giving freely eternal life. Televangelists have turned Jesus into a commodity. It cost me a lot to learn and see denominational Christianity as the scarlet whore. More and more now I am finding the remnant of good hearted, faithful disciples who are like David-they have been in the wilderness, driven by Saul, but overcame and are strong. How can we correspond outside this forum?

Resolute, I would love to hear what you have to say. I try not to disregard what people have to say unless I totally disagree with what they are saying; in which case I will listen politely and then respond.
I have read many of your posts and I have to say that I agree with much of what you share. It seems that the only difference we have is that I don't believe in Christendom.
I had already studied the bible extensively, first as a Catholic to become a Jesuit monk, perhaps, then under my mother's tutelage I was thrust into evangelical Christianity. Then later I left that and became a Jehovah's Witness until I was excommunicated because I asked to many questions and challenged their ideas too much. They didn't like that so they threw me out.
I have studied comparative religions and philosophies, so I know the whole story and I have been on both sides of most of the arguments. When I was a JW I had the opportunity to debate with people from many different creeds; including 7th Day Adventists, Mormons, Catholics, Nazarenes, and Baptist. After all of the exploration and conversions I finally arrived where I am today.
If the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous was a religion then that is what I would be; a twelve stepper. But thank god it is not a religion, or it would have become corrupted. They have the 12 traditions to guide the groups and maintain harmony and cohesion.
As far as religions are concerned I don't believe in any of them because long before I ever even heard of Zeitgeist, I had already learned the things that it contains, except for the 911 stuff, but I knew that religions were a sham after having tried so many of them. Every religion reinforces the original lie that man is sinful and in need of salvation. The only salvation that humanity needs is to be saved from the big lie and those that keep broadcasting it 24/7. Each individual person needs to be empowered as critical thinkers and forget being a sheep. Sheep are led to the slaughter.

She didn't have to remain a virgin after conception. She and Joseph knew how she got pregnant. That's all that mattered. Would it be so hard for whoever put all creation here to create a sperm? Hello. From your response, I don't think you want to here about the rest.

Resolute, where is the evidence and scientific proof that Jesus was a virgin conception? So are you saying that she was a virgin when as you say "God manifested heavenly sperm in her womb" but then how did she not remain a virgin after the conception? Did she have sex while she was pregnant?
The whole virgin conception/birth thing is part of the myth and it gets many people's knickers in a twist when someone challenges this notion. But this scenario of virgin conceptions or births is not new and has been repeated over and over in diverse cultural myths all over the world. The movie theorizes that this is because all of them were personifying the movement of the constellation through the ages.
What you are saying about Jesus is something that Christendom takes on faith. There is no proof.
There is actually no historical or archaeological proof that Jesus Christ existed at all, but I personally can accept that Jesus did exist and that he did say many of the things that the 4 gospels say he did. My concept of Jesus is more like the one in the book "The Last Temptation of Christ." Totally human and the reluctant messiah.
Yes I am aware of the "Naked Archaeologist" claims that he had unearthed the Jesus Family Tomb; where he claims that Jesus, James, John, Mary (Jesus mother) and Mary Magdalene are buried. But that is still being debated by theological scholars. Again all of that is stuff you either believe or you don't. It was so big that National Geographic featured it.
Have you checked out the lost gospel according to Judas? That is a very compelling account of Jesus and a completely different take on why Judas turned Jesus in, it was two fold, one to fulfill the prophecy and second because Jesus ordered him to do it and he was being obedient.

Another error in the movie-Jesus was not born of a virgin. It was a virgin conception, not a virgin birth. Another error-Jesus was not born "like the rest of us". God created sperm in Mary to conceive Jesus. He is the second Adam. I agree, he exposed the world rulers then which rulers we still have in practice today. Take out of the movie the myth parallels that aren't accurate and just expose the hyprocrisy of world rulers. You can also say that Jesus was among the ones in history that spoke up. Otherwise, when the zealots for this movie do a little research and find out some of his info is wrong, they will begin to question the whole concept-much like the religions being slammed by the movie. I wonder if the maker of the movie is enjoying the fame just like religious guru's have in the past.

It is true that Jesus was not born on December 25th, however, all of Christendom celebrates it as such. Remember that this was established by the Holy Roman Empire during the reign of Constantine.
Jesus was taken from a man and turned into a god at the council of Nicea, and everything that Jesus truly represented was changed to suit the needs of the empire and to control the masses. That is why it is called a myth, because the real Jesus bears little resemblance to the myth Jesus that Christendom is worshiping.
Do you get that the whole Jesus born of a virgin on the 25th thing is a myth?
The real Jesus was a man just like everybody else who had a very advanced intellect and awareness of things such that he became very knowledgeable about the Hebrew scriptures; he became a Rabbi or Teacher. Because of his learning he became aware of the myths of his day that were being used to oppress the Jewish people. He saw that the Pharisees and the Scribes were lording over the people, charging them money for the atonement of their sins through the practice of forcing them to change their Roman money into Jewish money and charging them a fee. He saw that the simple 10 commandments of Moses had been expanded (similar expansion of laws under the GW Admin) to hundreds of laws that governed practically every conceivable action of the people. Jesus saw that the powers in charge were corrupt and did not care about the people so he showed his followers the path to true freedom from oppression. He showed them that they were being subjected to a myth when he declared that there were only two commandments to follow, not 10 and certainly not 100's; only 2.
You all know what those 2 are already so I won't bother repeating them.
Jesus was like the Current of his day and they killed him for speaking up and exposing the hypocrisy of the Religious and Political leaders of the day. Remember that these people were used to having their Religious leaders also be their Poliltical leaders as well. Even after Pontius Pilot interrogated Jesus ala GW, Pilot concluded that Jesus was an innocent man who didn't deserve to be killed so he "washed his hands" in a symbolic gesture.
It was the Jewish leaders of the day that killed Jesus, because they saw in him the accuser that threw their corruption back in their faces and exposed their weaknesses for all to see.
This movie is an attempt to show us that this is still happening to this day, the same hypocrites are running things and using the JudeoIslamoChristian trifecta to capitalize on and fueling the ongoing conflicts.
BTW have you notice the interactive transcript of the movie that has ll the citations? it is organized like a doctoral thesis. This is not some fly by night conspiracy nuts who put this together, these are academics and scholars who probably care to remain nameless and faceless for the time being.

this film is the most inspirational thing I've ever seen by far. It's was kinda hard to grasp and understand that this is what is acctually going on in America at first. I couldn't believe the part about the chips and the north american union. It's crazy to think all this is going on and all anyone cares about is how their iPod broke or how they're still full after the three-corse meal they just ate. It's mind-bending. After I watched it, I imediatly started telling everyone about it. People NEED to see this film.

March 18th 2008 is Zeitgeist day.
The creators of the film are asking people to host viewing parties on that day. Currently there are approximately 71000 viewings a day on the website. That is 2.1 million per month.
If you go to the website, the creators of the film are willing to provide posters, flyers, invitations, and free DVD's for distribution to attendees.
Check it out. They want to get this out to the general public and mass distribute at little or no cost to the end viewer.

I think the video makes perfect sense...it's TRUTH that people have a hard time accepting...They like the fairtale stories ...'cause there EXADURATED OR MADE UP....I hope the world sees this video and stands 2gether not individually but as one saying NO MORE SECRETS...we're in this life 2gether...besides one way or another THE TRUTH WILL BE KNOWN(example: Edgar Allen Poe - died in a gutter...I'm sure he had no idea his works would be remembered or last in the world 2day...but they are & his story has been told(sure he wouldn't have wanted that known)THE TRUTH COMES OUT EVENTUALLY)....Too bad there's nothing we can do 2 stop the seed of bad deeds...they have so much protection that if u even try 2 act out...they put u away and say u were a TERORIST....that is NOT FREE people...Freedom of speech? What about being free in general?...This country represents FREE...yet, do u have a choice w/ out money???...(paying 2 LIVE....NOT GOOD!!!)*Pure TRUTH*True PEACE*Total LOVE*

Yeah, that movie has major problems. I only need bring up one to make my point. Jesus was not born on December 25th. This is very well known. Sure the Christian denominations need to tell the truth instead of lie about it. Jesus was born in September.

I was talking yesterday with a friend of mine telling her about this movie and she told me that a friend of her who worked at the Pentagon told her that it was common knowledge there at the Pentagon that the whole Kennedy thing was an inside job and that Kennedy didn't actually die that day He was critically injured to the point of being reduced to the mind of a child; remember a huge chunk of his brain flew out on the hood of the car, I remember watching Jackie climb out onto the hood to retrieve that piece.
I am always skeptical about any conspiracy claim, but I always try to check out the facts myself. But when it comes down to it, people are going to believe whatever they want.

Though difficult to swallow, this film clearly outlines the situation we are in. I have had the information in my thoughts for years now and to have it laid out so linear was godsend (haha). I have to ask all my friends of sound mind to watch this and share it with their circles. What would happen if we could see a movie like this in a major cineplex? I hope people that view it are able to feel empowered with the information rather than engulfed by helplessness. Hope must come from within?

just like w kennedy
"Mr. Shaw believes that J. Edgar Hoover withheld evidence obtained by his Bureau because he was a friend of Lyndon Johnson. Informed opinion in Washington was to the effect that Hoover withheld incriminating evidence to prevent Johnson and "Bobby Sox" Kennedy from retiring him as head of the F.B.I. After Johnson was elected in November 1964, he replaced Kennedy with a Jew, Katzenbach, who had been officially Deputy Attorney General and, in all likelihood, actually Kennedy's supervisor, but Hoover remained the Director of the F.B.I. until his death in 1972. The evidence that he used to protect himself by political blackmail has not been revealed. It may be disclosed in 2039, when the files sealed by order of Lyndon Johnson may be openedif, at that time, the rulers of the territory that is now the United States are interested in events of what will then be a dead past."
