    • I'm sure that there is a tremendous amount of pressure on Al right now. I wonder if he is experiencing doubt in his ability to fix this broken system. We all have put him on a pedestal thinking that he has the answers that will resolve our global problems, and he might, but that would make any person question his/her fortitude. Whether or not he is elected, and whether or not he can change the world, the greatest thing he could do for his cause and for us is to try.

    • I'm glad you thought of asking those questions here! I've been wondering the same things myself. I sure hope you get some answers... an announcement of candidacy would be a perfect way to respond, eh?

    • Al, your country, people and the rest of the planet are calling upon you for president. The time is now! Declare yourself. You can do far more for ending global warming as president of the USA. Run, Al run!

    • I think you did a really great job here. These are very fair and insightful questions. I'm curious like so many others to hear Al's response.

Y'all quit being so naive, it's embarrassing!

    • As I said in another post I am voting for you Al whether you are running or not but I would like to hear the answers to these questions.

As I believe most of America would. I also got your email asking me to come to Current. I joined about a month ago. I don't have video on my computer but I am making comments.

Where I live my cable doesn't offer your station so I look online.

I can't wait for the day when more people turn on the internet for news than the tv since I believe most tv news is propaganda and entertainment.

    • And I quote: "Yes, he can analyze intellectually but he is also very emotional, angry, about what happened in '00 and about what has happened since - both in the US and in the world."

No doubt, they STOLE the 2000 election and the SCOTUS forever lost its respect and position as the ultimate provider of law and order in this country with that fateful call. And of course, the court has gotten worse under this adminsitration by allowing torture and allowing this criminal cabal to destroy the US Constituion. The SCOTUS is supposed to ensure that the constitution is the ultimate source.

However, Al needs to understand that what happened in 2000 is history. I would hope he's spiritually aware enough to understand the dynamics of letting go of all that emotion and junk from the past.

All any of us have (even a superman like Al) is NOW! We can't rework that horrific thing that he went through. All of us went through it with him. I cried, swore at the TV, screamed and lost it myself, but I can't do anything about that.

However, I can do something about NOW and NOW is the time (and I don't think there will be another one) for Al Gore to wake up to the mission he was born for, the mission only he can do. If he gets in touch with his inner-being, he'll hear the little voice telling him to announce. He only has to listen and follow through. If he doesn't do that, then he will allow the hurt and the pain of the past to stop him from living and doing what ONLY he can do to save this country from destruction. This is some serious stuff guys... Bush is a dangerous man. Cheney is even more dangerous. We can't tell Al it's okay for him NOT to run. It's not okay.

    • Of course he is doing a great job. Of course he is the global warming guru, but anyone can do that job.

None of the Republican or Democratic candidates has everything it takes to be the 44th President of the United States and restore America to her former glory. Nobody can do that job... and we must not be satisfied with these mediocre candidates. Hillary is Bush lite and the media is trying to sell her Al will stay out.

Screw the media. Screw traditional thought. Jump in Al. Your country needs you!

    • Thanks for the CALL OUT! You said you won't ask him to run. I will. I'm begging him to run. Why? He is the ONLY American who can do it.

His "work" I think is to save this democracy NOW because all we have is NOW! Al, why do you see the climate crisis so clearly and fail to see the urgency for your candidacy? There are a handfull of very capable Americans (probably Europeans too) with the ability and knowledge to carry out your campaign against global warming, but there is only ONE Al Gore, leader who can bring sanity back to America. There is only one leader who can restore the constitution, restore the concept of America in the eyes of people around the world, and further, the Al Gore I know has a plan for the American people.

I saw the spiritual Al Gore in "Inconvenient Truth" and I witnessed your love for the earth, your connection to the higher power through the near death of your son. I walked the Gore farm, and I leared that the Al Gore I know understood that his father's decision to stop growing tobacco came from some place DEEP in your heart. I understand your integrity. I know I can count on you to do the right thing, to be ethical and to care about the American people.

Al, right now you don't owe anything to the Democratic Party or the current candidates. You owe the American people a committment to step in and commit everything you are to overcoming the Bush criminal cabal.

Al, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid aren't going to do anything to stop him. You see that, don't you? How will you feel if they bomb Iran and you haven't been out on the campaign trail trying to stop it?

You must announce. Do it for your country. There is no other candidate who can do what you can (and must do). Just stop rationalizing it and jump in.

    • Having seen Al Gore speak in private, no media, I know he has the passion, the fire in his belly, to run. Yes, he can analyze intellectually but he is also very emotional, angry, about what happened in '00 and about what has happened since - both in the US and in the world. I think he believes he can restore integrity and compassion to our political and governmental processes and he knows what to do about the degradation of the natural environment without damaging the world's economy. I think he wants to see more support - a "groundswell" as they say. He also knows you can't save someone if they don't want to be saved.

    • I am 17 years old, and for once, I believe the American public will do one of two things- vote by the hordes, or do the same stagnant thing they have done for the past 50 years, nothing. I would love to see Al Gore run, I truly would. When he lost the election in 2000, I was only 10, but I knew that it did not mean good things for America. He has forethought, values, and sadly a 20/20 hindsight bias that I feel is the main reason he won't run for the presidency... I believe that the pain he still feels from the 2000 election is what is holding him back. Some people say it is his work on global warming, when we know that he would most likely draft the Kyoto project in a heartbeat, and ask for the bill to be passed by congress. He would definitely find a compromise for the turmoil in Iraq; because at this point that's all we can do, we can't pull out, because then we would have to pay massive amounts of money, and the insuing chaos would prevail in the downfall of Iraq, but that doesn't mean there can't be a troop reduction, and ultimate reprieve of command... I know he would be able to solve the two biggest problems facing the American public, if only his heart was content with it.

    • this is great, i have been wondering these very things about Al Gore. I think that if he is truly serious about making a difference then he needs to step up to the highest position in the world that of the presedent of the United States. I will point out that there is a legitimate fear of retaliation by those with a vested interest in the status quo of big business in all sectors of commerce from the imigration issues to the military industrial machine we have created in our country and around the world. These people have killed highly influential and beloved persons like Martin Luther King Jr. and the Kennedy brothers for standing in their way and this may be a concern not only for him self but for the safety of his family. This is why we must make it clear to Al Gore and even more so to those that may consider this type of action that it will in no way detour us the American People from doing what must be done to take back the freedom that is rightfuly ours. That should one of us fall by the hand of violence there are a multitude behind to take their place until the power they wield to destroy is striped of them forever.

    • I as a America feel Al Gore is doing a great job doing what he is doing right now. As President he couldn't fly all over the world as he does now, and bring Climate Change to their attention. I would in a heart beat vote for Al, if know he would make a wonderful President of Our United States. The election was rigded ! Thanks for asking theses questions.
