Hill Pundits say "A Gore-Obama ticket could well sweep the nation and inspire the world"

The CBS poll has a margin of error of 5%.

That is a statistical dead heat.

Meanwhile on:

http://pundits.thehill.com/2007/10/26/oil-soars-fires-rage-war-looms-hillary-man...

The well respected Brent Budowsky writes:

"Gore’s appeal is not merely his experience as vice president, congressman, senator and Nobel Laureate but the larger truth that he is a champion of a sweeping worldview and a fearless opponent of Bush wrongs at a time
when throughout the nation, Democrats and independents believe their Washington-based leaders have been timid, fearful and ineffective."

and:

"A Gore-Obama ticket could well sweep the nation and inspire the world, while inspiring the Democratic Party to far more courage and principle than it has shown at any time during the Bush years."

Somtimes pundits get it. Mostly not. But sometimes they do. And slowly the momentum is building.

Now will one of you kindly souls post this everywhere you possibly can?

Much oblged. Much obliged.

    • I have a different slant than most. I want to see Al Gore re-elected with Chuck Hagel as his V.P. After watching Chuck Hagel on Real Time with Bill Maher, I thought he would be an excellent choice for Al Gore's running mate. When I googled Chuck Hagel on YouTube, I found many occassions where he was trying to speak out against the neocons. Al Gore could lead by example and bring Americans from both parties to the table. The two party system always leaves one party out. It's time to Unite America. The good Democrats and good Republicans that could be brought to the table would rock both parties. I want to see an 'American' Party. One that Unites instead of Divide America. Third Party is spin, 'American Party' would be fact. Democrats and Republicans working together to stop the madness. Now that would spin the neocons, using fear of a 'United American Party', their worst nightmare. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSJuYEhGw94 Real Time with Bill Maher

We need two leaders who care about America and our Constitution!

    • Imagine eight years of a Gore Administration and eight years of either Edwards or Kucinich. They could repair all the damage and rebuild the neglected infrastructure. Get a hold on global warming with wind, solar, and innovation. We could build a fast rail service we so desperately need. Maybe even revive the electric car. Social Security would be protected and we could have Medicare expanded and improved to include everyone. The middle class would rise again. We can do this with Al Gore at the helm.

    • I believe it doesnt matter who former Vice President Gore chooses as a running mate, he would win the 2008 Presidential election. He won the popular vote in 2000 with Joe Lieberman.

A Gore presidency could mean so much to our country. He is respected around the globe which could go a long way in restoring our image. With a democratically held house and senate, he could push real reforms in the fight against global warming. This means jobs for our people. With all our manufacturing jobs being outsourced to China and India, new jobs would stimulate the economy for the middle class. It is the middle class that has been nearly detroyed by the Bush doctrine and it was by design. A well informed, educated, employed middle class citizen votes. Paul Weyrich, co-founder of the Christian Coalition, said that their "leverage goes up as voting goes down".

Regardless if Mr. Gore enters the race, I will cast my vote for him. I will never again vote for the lesser of two evils. I will vote for the person I believe will do the best job for my country.

    • I agree. Gore plus an active running-mate like
Edwards, Richardson, or Kucinich is what we need. Then if there is any question about the electoral votes in any state, they have to promise to not concede until every vote has been counted and verified.

    • I really don't think Obama would be right for the job but if he were Al's choice as a running mate I would work my tail off for them. But Al needs to remember Ford didn't make it to the Senate, Tennessee has not changed as much as I would have liked. Leiberman was not a good choice in 2000...I would like to see him pick someone out of Washington there are several really good candidates to chose from Bill Richardson for example, John Edwards would bring in a lot of votes. However if he choses to go back to the Washington bunch l think Dick Durbin would be my first choice. But we are putting the horse before the cart..First we need Al. Time enough after he gets the nomination to pick a running mate.

    • I agree that Gore would do well, but he would do better with a running-mate other than Obama. This country is still too racist to allow a black man even the second slot. I could see all the old Confederate states plus a few others going Republican because of Obama. Illinois is not Texas or Louisiiana or Iowa.

    • Didn't do much polling in the South did they? Are the Democrats ready to give up the Southern states? These people quit the Democratic party because they registered black people to vote in the 1960s. They haven't changed. Look at what was allowed to happen in New Orleans? Look at the Gena Six. I could go on. Look at the smear campaign against Obama's supposed education and religion. I'm sorry I don't think we are civilized enough to elect a black person President or Vice President. I also don't think we will elect Hillary when it gets right down to it. That is the reason the media is pushing both of them. They are counting on our prejudices. I think they have us figured out pretty well..

    • Hillary and Bill Clinton would be devastated if Gore were to change his mind and run. Just imagine the MEDIA'S response. Hours of discussing "what will happen?" Will Hillary's polling drop dramatically? You BETCHA!

Gore's name is as well known, if not more so, then Hillary's. He'd pick up immediate votes.

I pray he gets in the race NOW - if only to knock Hillary and Bill off their pedestals they've got themselves on.

No GOP candidate would have a chance against him.

      Go GORE! PLEASE

    • I like it because I feel Al Gore is the only one who can put out the fires Bush has lit. And repair our Constitution. When anyone asks me who I am going to vote for my answer has been "None of the above" I don't think anyone but Al Gore can fix what is wrong.
