    • Sound article. And you're right, Americans really did get the first glimpse of M. Sarkozy during his handling of the riots in the banlieu of Paris back in September '05.

    • It's from September of 2005, but it was the first time I'd really heard of the guy...and as they predicted, he did become the next president of France. A very interesting article that gives you a sense of the man and his political style, that I'm certain is still relevant today.
