Spanish Mediterranean Coast - Rest in Peace

momemor
This is a very small but representative sample of what we have done with our coast in Spain.

Not much to say, except that there have been not one politician, not one developer, not one person has yet been held accountable for any of this. Will we ever learn?

Photos are from newspaper El Pais. Music by Camaron de la Isla.

    • interesting how conventional wisdom has been a general topic only lately. it is a term coined about 50 years ago! this shows how much the need for change is.

about europe, i have a couple of friends in spain, close to barcelona, and they've talked about these issues that u mentioned.

our new generation is growing out of the conventional boundries, i think our future IS bright, but we will need to add some extra effort

    • Thanks Ifm. It is the harsh truth. One-third of the Spanish surface is in risk of desertification. We are one of the top three countries in the whole Europe to have the worst rating for cutting down CO2 emissions.
Ignorance is not bliss, it is man's worst enemy; and with the tecnology we have nowadays, it is also nature's worst enemy.
But we still keep on going! Have to think ahead, rip the tentacles of conventional wisdom.

    • Hi lfm. It is not el Cigala, it is Camaron. Cigala has a very similar voice pitch.
The song is track 10 of Camaron's legendary album "La Leyenda del Tiempo".
      Hope you like it.
