Israel has drawn up secret plans to destroy Iran?s uranium enrichment facilities with tactical nuclear weapons. Two Israeli air force squadrons are training to blow up an Iranian facility using low-yield nuclear ?bunker-busters?, according to several Israeli military sources. The attack would be the first with nuclear weapons since 1945, when the United States dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Israeli weapons would each have a force equivalent to one-fifteenth of the Hiroshima bomb.

Why should they be stopped? They were under the threat of annihilation. You don't know history..just plain black or white. Things are not that simple after kindergarten.

In the Torah it says that Israel will shine light onto other nations, but in reality the only light Israel ever shined onto other nations came from the barrels of their guns and the flames of their bombs.

JGC, What exactly do you mean? We should be quiet and ignore the mess Bush has got our troops into? Do you think they should be caught up in the middle of another country's cival war?

All I say is silence the media, and silence the public. There's a reason you're all called "Civilian Forces". It's because you aren't the people getting shot at and killed everyday in some shit-hole village in that shit-hole Middle-East.

The media has been bought and sold, by just a handful despite our anti-monopoly laws the Bush administration isn't enforcing.
I haven't a clue why the Democrats are such cowards, but I'd vote for them over the Ripusofficans any day.
The internet and us outdates the media. Rupert Muduck owns a dying empire.

We have no media left. The Internet is our last best hope. When you find something that hasn't been reported. Post it on the blogs. E mail it to your contacts. It's up to us. You need to be looking for those things.

I would vote for almost any candidate that started talking about what is being done to our Constitution and what George W. is doing to our country. I read that a whistle blower exposed the missing nukes. The Administration had to admit it, the evidence was out there. The gentleman that exposed the Pentagon Papers was quoted asking people to risk their careers if necessary to be whistle blowers and expose what is being done by George W. The ones that have blown the whistle have been ignored or exposed. A list of people who had called to report things, names were given to Cheney. There is so much going on, it's hard to follow one topic. It's information overload, no one is shocked. Nothing seems to shock Americans anymore. I hope it doesn't take full blown World War III to wake Americans up. These fears are some of the main reasons I have been begging Al Gore to run for '08. The current group of candidates are campaining, they aren't exposing the wrongs going on today. '08 may be too late!

Sad thing is VoyagerFilms, The Sadist in Chief is going to keep attacking other countries and start bombing them with nukes until they start raining nukes down on our heads. The Democrats will still be playing it safe and keeping impeachment off the table. Rob, I'm not kidding when I say he used to shove firecrackers up frogs butts and then blow them up. He likes suffering. I believe it is a homo erotic thing. Look at the piles of nude prisioners he had tortured. He is dangerous in his insanity.

We should probably thank God someone reported the 6 nukes missing, misplaced or whatever. That'd make for a nasty "terrorist" strike here in the US, or wherever.

The accidental warheads are safely in the Middle East by now. Israel will attack Iran as soon as we are ready. George (Sadist) Bush wants to nuke something. He wants their oil too. I honestly believe for him the oil is secondary to the pleasure he gets out of killing people. Our legislators have to see this too. They are enabling him by giving him the money. Both Democrats and Republicans are guilty. They have to have support for the next election so they are playing politics with human lives. Shameful.

You know, if Isreal were to bomb Iran, there may be nothing of Isreal left to "honor bound" defend.
The reality is, that if Iran wanted nuclear weapons, it already has them.
Why do we pretend they are trying to build a nuclear device? For starters, has anyone accounted for all the missing nuclear weapons from the former USSR? Didn't we give a nuke to Iran years ago to use against Iraq, or did we give one to Iraq to use against Iran?
Personally, I would not, WOULD NOT bet the lives of the people of Isreal on the belief Iran and sympathetic neighbors don't have nukes or other equally destructive means to strike back with - not to mention the quality of life on planet earth from all the pollution it'd put into the atmosphere.
What's the Isreali, not to mention our own government thinking? Isn't "attacking" based upon fear and suspicion aggression? It's an extremely fine line between "pre-emptive strike" and aggression.
As far as breeding hatred of the US amoung the radicals in the middle east? We've been working hard at it since at least the 80's.
How would the average American feel if another country invaded and occupied Canada? We'd be upset for sure.
Is the inability to negotiate peace in the middle east a reflection of our leaderships inability or is it another case of divide and conquer or both?

Okay, this is enlightning and very frightening stuff. So tell me, what legally would make us "have to" support Israel if they preempted a nuclear strike on anyone? What is it, a political "tradition" or something?

That would be a terrible mistake. Musharraf is walking on a fraying tight-rope - if the Muslim extremists manage to take power in Pakistan, they would likely fire a nuke or two onto Israel as the range of Pakistan's missiles that can carry a nuclear warhead is more than long enough for that. This would lead to WWIII and allow Bush to indulge in realizing his wet-dream of setting off nukes around the world. Armageddon, but with no rapture for anyone. The very rich might retire into their underground nuclear shelters for a generation or two, but beyond that...

I beg to differ. Iran never was and is not developing WMD (no s nor apostrophe s since the plural is Weapons), so we neither knew nor know something that is not. As for Iraq, the US and British and many other governments knew full well they had no WMD left since shortly after 1991.

Of course Bush would say that, it's exacally what the unilatteralists want. Every since the first Bush administration, the west-wing republican party has been using the president to sway towards the more facist and neo-conservative views; they're feeding the fire feul, and it's not going to stop until the U.S. finally finds itself in a financially dug whole dug by itself and the taxpayers get nothing back!

Varex_Sythe, what you're talking about is nuclear winter and it's not a good scenario.
I think the neocons are expecting resistance from us citizens this time, protests and taking to the streets.
This might be the reason for Bush's move to make declaring martial law easier.
I'm not religious, but I'm praying my ass off right now!

Now I am going to bring up a pointless question. The question is pointless because it deals with "what if"s, and "what if"s are always a moot point because they are a hypothetical situation that depends upon changing a variable that has already occurred and there for cannot be changed.
What if we had actually gone into Iran (who we knew were, and know are developing WMD's) instead of going into Iraq (who we only suspected had WMD's despite the fact that we had no evidence and now know that they never had nor were planning to make WMD's)?
Also, I understand that Israel is our ally and that are honor bound to aid them if they are attacked; however, are we honor bound to help them if they are the ones who start or inflame the conflict? I am of the opinion that the only circumstance binding us to this event is the possible use of nuclear weapons. We don't necessarily have a responsibility to stop the use of nuclear weapons, but we should have a very strong self interest in preventing nuclear weapons from being used. Now I think that there are two enormous threats from the use of nuclear weapons. The first is obvious, massive amounts of radiation that spread throughout the atmosphere. Second is something that we have not worried about since the Cuban missile crisis, contagious fire. Someone shoots off a nuke, so in a panic someone else shoots off a nuke either in retaliation or as a futile act of self preservation. Then someone else with a nuke shoots it off for the same reasons. So forth and so on.

Why can't we all just be friends?!
*I know it's unrealistic, but I like that quote. And I think if more people especially politicians and leaders were a little less evil and a bit more understanding and willing to compromise instead of kill the world would be a better place. I'm tired of stupid presidents and people quick to attack and kil one another. That's the mark that is going to be left on this era, murder, war, hatred, and intolerance. There are more important issues and pressing situations facing humanity without the ones we are trying to create. Let's focus on eliminating poverty instead of using those funds to kill more people. Or focus on Global warming, regardless or not if it exists or is just a natural cycle. Let's make people educated and literate. Ah, in a perfect world, right? - 4 years ago

Yeah, ish, that happened this summer...
http://cyberray-rays.blogspot.com/2007/11/nuclear-missiles-mistakenly-flown.html
Yeah Tori, I don't think they meant for it to get out. I honestly think that they had a breakdown in the chain of command and that we wouldn't have heard about it if the warheads hadn't sat on the runway for 24 hours. They're smart but not perfect. I think it was a little slip-up that they explained away the best they could...
And that's the whole problem....they know better than to simply attack Iran...The whole setup of using Israel to get us involved is designed to keep the American people out of it...Like I said, if Iran retaliates against Israel, the US will be "forced" to come to their defense....the extremely powerful pro-Israel contingent would demand it. And Congress can just say 'Look, our hands are tied..'

on the "missing" warheads.
But tatuaje...they didn't have to make this public. If this was nefarious on the part of the Bush Admin, why did they tell us about it? We would never have known, if it was a mistake or if it was intentional, had they not brought it out publicly.

Wow - hadn't heard the theory about the "mistakenly" shipped warheads - will have to check it out. Of course the US and Israel are building up to another war... and the Bush administration doesn't have long left so it's going to happen fast.
People need to wise up and realise they are sucking in exactly the same old propoganda and fear mongering as they did with Iraq. Everyone who apoligised for voting for or supporting the war on Iraq and say they learned from it is doing EXACTLY the same again. It's incredible.
We need to admit this situation is very real and start making some noise about it otherwise we are going to see the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iranians and incur unpresidented (and justifiable) hatred towards the west from the middle east and across the world. It's going be a sad old world if this war goes ahead.

It scares the shit out of me too. American leadership should be defusing the situtation, not waiting on the sidelines for it to occur. Our tax dollars are going to Isreal, enabling them to do a military strike on Iran. I think our tax dollars could be better spent on diplomacy, not bombs. Americans are working everyday to pay for energy, food, insurance and ...bombs. The fruits of our labor is being misspent. America should be telling Isreal not to bomb Iran, not beating the war drums! Can America afford to be led into another war of aggression?

I've been yelling this for months....As much as we all hate the neocons, stupid they're not. They know that if Israel becomes involved in war with Iran, then the US is "honor bound" to defend our ally. That means the US can go after the goal of regime change without having to be the outright aggressor. As apathetic as Americans are, if the US government began yet another war in the Middle East, the public would probally stand up and become confrontational. If Israel attacks, the Bush admin. just says 'Hey, it wasn't us...but now we have to save Israel from getting wiped off the map. Crazy Ahmadinejad already said that's what he wants...' And my friend pointed out the other day two other recent, seemingly unrelated events, that should clue people in as to how thought out this all is. One, the Bush administration has demanded $46 billion emergency funds from Congress by Christmas and included with it a single sentence requesting money to upgrade the B-2 "stealth" bomber. The stealth bombers aren't needed for Iraq or Afghanistan. Two, the 6 nuclear warheads "mistakenly" shipped to Barksdale Air Force Base, La.( a major deployment point for the Middle East). These people have a master plan...and it scares the shit out of me....
