    • the funny thing is that though it does look similar to what happened in 1979 Iran, it is still going on today. Iran is still under a oppressive regime, just a different one from the one during the shah (actually the shah was more loose than the regime in Iran today). You still see the governmental police (pastars and basijis) doing the same exact thing that the police are doing in this video. You can still see a lot of the same thing as in scenes from 2:40 -- 2:42 in this vid in Iran.

    • If Iran is to Pakistan as the Shah is to Musharraf, then who is Khomeni's analogue, or does he not exist? I hear hopes that Nawaz Sharif or Benzair Bhutto could take power in a peaceful handover (and maintain a US-friendly government), but it is not clear how much political power those two have left.
