The solution?
Why are so many societies hell bent on blaming legislation and advertising for social malady?I mean this is real no brainer folks- Education not legislation! You can't legislate a morality issue... to properly maintain moderate perspectives on anything, especially alcohol, requires parents and society to "teach" their children the facts of alcohol use versus abuse.
Advertising can assist in this endeavor, but not be responsible solely for either end of the spectrum.

Many countries have restrictions and bans of alcohol advertising to curb drinking problems. However, scientific research around the world conducted by governments, health agencies and universities has, over decades, been unable to demonstrate any causal relationship between alcohol beverage advertising and alcohol consumption. So what's the solution??

After March 1, 2006, cigarettes sold in Australia must be packaged with the following health warnings. The warnings must cover 30% of the front and 90% of the back of the cigarette package.
Seven warnings are rotated within brands, and after 12 months, a different set of seven warnings is used.

►Australian government announcementJust in case you haven't been down under. I've only been to NZ, but many of the products there are from Australia, so I saw the cigarettes and even brought some back for my friend to try to get him to quit.
He smoked them. :(
The Alcohol Ads are intense in Aotearoa as well.
