Sadly, our dream for the perfect Presidential candidate is over, but our unwavering support for the causes he supports on our behalf will never be.

    • Okay Varex point taken -

"You make a valid point, however, considering the field of candidates he would be the very BEST of the bunch."

      Thanks!

    • I hope I don't get picked on for this, or viewed as a person who is picking on someone else.

Even though you are using a modifier of sorts, you are still using the word perfect which can mislead (even if it is used sarcastically though I am not sure if you intended to use it as such). If it is possible to make a suggestion of word choice without sounding like I'm high on my own vocal prowess, I would replace the words "most perfect" with "best". Best does not imply perfection, but rather the better of all the possible choices.

    • I'm going to point out first that I like Al Gore, and I would have really liked for him to have run in this election.

That being said, there is no such thing as a perfect presidential candidate. I think that it is important to have high standards, but if you think that a person could be perfect for such an important position, then you will become disappointed with them, even if they do a very good job.

    • I have so much respect for Al Gore. There are so many times that I ponder what American would be TODAY if Gore had become president. He is a beacon of reason and right thinking for me every day as an American citizen. I so very appreciate all that he does for our nation. Blessings upon him and his family.
