Soldiers need to know that they are loved and remembered just as mothers need to sacrifice for their children in harm's way. All i could hear was "my son" in place our "our soldiers"... poor lady.
We all feel the need to sacrifice when we see our soldiers suffering in Iraq. How about we sacrifice the comfort of our complacency and ask "is my son fighting a just war?" if you can no longer honestly answer YES then write letters to your congressman instead. If you really think your son should be there, as a veteran, care packages mean alot.
