Contempt of Congress should be the only option for those who choose not to testify. Testimony should not be a choice, it should be a requirement. If they want to be found in Contempt of Congress, so be it.

Criminal investigation is the only answer!!! Accountability is a requirement. It is the duty of Congress to investigate. I don't care about impeachment, too little, too late! I want justice and an example for future leaders who think leading by deception is a good thing. We are a country governed by a Constitution and the 'Rule of Law', we should accept nothing less!!! They need to be held accountable. We have a system put in place for just this sort of scenario. This is not a "should we? Can we? Is it worth it?" situation. This is a "UNDER THE CONSTITUTION, WE MUST" kinda situation. I agree that the media is a problem...but the media is free, as it should be. It is currently BOUGHT out by partisan assholes, but we cannot really hold those guys accountable for much, can we? All we can do is use our purchasing power...but then, people have to actually care first. $$$$$ talks. We CAN hold responsible the guys who have a choke-hold on media...and you KNOW they're out there. And you KNOW they're holding some public office. So, what gives? Let's take up the reins on our responsibilities and clean house. Imagine a wide sweep of our government and programs...Imagine the message it would send the world, our remaining politicians, our media, our citizens, and most importantly, our children. Impeaching is the first step towards rebuilding America. I don't see any other options.

We need to hold mainstream media and the nightly news accountable first. Britney Spears is not news! Anna Nicole Smith was not news! Popular people are not important in our everyday life. Just think of how much news we would have gotten if they had done their jobs and reported real news instead of celebrity spin? There are so many things that could be investigated, it's hard to choose where to start.
Don't hold your breath for mainstream media, they are guilty by association. They knew what they were doing. They knew they were leading us to a war on false facts. They knew as much as us, they chose not to report it. They went along, to get along! They can't have it both ways. They have to report the news or spin the news. To date, they have chosen spinning. Unfortunately, they are making America dizzy. Now their commercials can sell us a pill to take care of the problem.

jubal, the fact that you mention impeachment and bombing Iran in the same sentience is important. I think that type of fear is what has enabled them to do things in plain sight. They know they have the Iran fear factor at their disposal. I often wonder if that is why they beat the war drum with Iran. Americans are afraid they will do worse if they are cornered. That's sad! Reality, and one of my main fears, but sad none the less.
I have been screaming for some time about the importance of stopping them from bombing another country and starting another war of aggression. I think if what they are doing in plain sight were reported, people would start watching what they are doing more closely.
Why should they fear being outed for their wrongdoing? No one has stopped them so far. I'm not as concerned about Impeachment, that's kind of 'too little, too late'. But, it's not too late to hold them accountable. I don't care if they are impeached, I want them stopped.
