    • I really enjoyed this piece. I do have a few things I think could have been improved upon.

The hook for the program was pretty ominous, but besides working on utilizing our soft power, I don't see any clear, specific ways you guys posit for us to aid our position in the world.

Also, I have to disagree with the viewpoint of many of the people interviewed: our complacency and apathy as Americans has exacerbated these problems and brought a lot of grief to innocents in America and abroad. We're complicit in what is done in our names.

Excellent job, altogher. Can you guys put together something before the election that offers solutions not predicated on the government, but the people? We need more voices speaking out on what WE can do to change things. Like one of the previous posters said, greed is polluting everything, and is the driving factor for much of the grief around the world.

    • What a great set of pieces and it I thoroughly enjoyed the piece on the international opinions of Americans. Just a few weeks ago I was in the law library at uni and a rather large group of people were talking about how ignorant, self centred and greedy Americans are. It is a shame that those opinions are echoed around the rest of the world and really stem from the government.

    • EXCELLENT!

It's amazing how we just DO NOT see this perspective on television... Isn't it clear that if the US keep going that way things ARE NOT going to be fine at the end?

Congratulations for the pod, Laura, Kaj, and all the CJ's!

    • Military industrial complex. The presidents are powerless to stop it.

China will be the next world super power.
There will be another VERY large war on the scale of a WW3.

Greed, is very powerful with many people drinking its wine.

Banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies.

    • Again, Kaj's "Election 101" was an excellent presentation in the New Hampshire primary series. Now I see why these seemingly "insignificant" states command attention in the electoral process. And the graphics were great. I also enjoy the longer format of about half an hour to the four or five minute titillation pods although they have their place in context. Looking forward to tonight.

    • liked the reporting but you have to do better with your facts. Nigeria is NOT a predominantly Muslim country. At best it's a 50/50 split christian, muslim.

    • Amazing coverage, and such a refreshing change to the traditional political discourse surrounding an election.

I especially enjoyed The Listening Project. We often forget just how powerful and provocative something as simple as a conversation can be - and that is what we need so desperately right now in America. Conversation - not just with other governments or political figures - but with people. I think this will allow Americans to distinguish, just as civilians abroad do, between a country's government and its people.

Can't wait to see what tonight's coverage brings!

    • I'd like to know how Kaj and Laura seem so impervious to the New Hampshire cold and manage to look so stylish. Great hat Laura and nice pea coat Kaj. Keep up the great work guys. I love the elections 101. When are the graduate courses happening? Professor Kaj you are the man so keep the education flowing our way and don't be afraid of being too intellectual. We can handle it.

    • Big props to everyone involved in the making of this piece. The Listening Project was an amazing addition and I find it be highly relevant to the overall political climate in this country.
Looking forward to seeing what other stuff you guys come up with during the next couple of days.

    • Great format for the primaries with Laura and Kaj delivering a one two punch intro drawing us into issues that certainly should be addressed by the candidates. What a team those two are and I'm happy to see some depth and political savvy becoming part of the current format.

      not force alone, of course
"the polititians are gonna do the political thing" ? on this i have an issue, if they KEEP ON INTERACTING AMONG THEMSELVES IN THE SAME VISIBLY AND ABUSIVELY DIVISIVE WAYS, THERE WILL BE NO LEADING BY EXAMPLE FOR COMMON GOOD CHANGE, YOU GUYS ARE THE CEOS OF THIS COUNTRY AND THE SOON TO BE AMERICAN UNION OF SOME SORT. COME ON! PUT YOUR STUFF TOGHER AND LEADE BY EXAMPLE. business will not go green willingly, dont impose laws that are easy for your business to apply but expensive and extensive for others, simply walk the talk, PLEASE. if the next president simply because he talks politics language, he knows he can steer people by being a translator more than an educator, then there is no change. the next president must not only understand the language and the ways of current business and politics, but also lead them into applying these consciously, not by imposition. this is were gore comes in, it would be ridiculously funny to see him running as vice president again, with either obama or edwards. that would be a proper global mental punch.

    • The only thing missing was actually asking the candidates themselves. Sit them down in the Current lounge and get them to answer the questions posed by these pods and try to get them to answer in details with hard facts.

Another thing I would like to see is a reaction or even a discussion with the candidates to the pods being shown. Show them clips and get their thoughts. The way they handle a response should say a lot to voters.

    • I liked how you two tied in the international response to our actions as a nation. Hearing those opinions can help voters look closer at the qualities they want in their leaders.
