If a drug kills us what good would the pharmaceutical companies "responsibility" do us then? And how many violations of our rights exist right now that we currently have no power to correct?
I agree we could cut MANY of our government's overspending, just not necessarily those that were listed. How about the pentagon, no bid contracts (Halliburton), tax cuts for the richest in the country instead?

If a drug kills and deforms us, the pharmaceutical company responsible for its existence would be held liable for any damages. Without an FDA, other private indicators of quality (ex. something like the Good Housekeeping seal of approval) would appear for drugs and medicine. Dirty air and water are a violation of your rights (http://www.answers.com/topic/political-positions-of-ron-paul/#Environment). Let me know what you think after you read his environmental position.

Paul wants to get rid of the FDA, EPA, IRS, for starters. So what if drugs kill and deform us, Does it matter that people die from dirty air and water, What the hell will it matter if Arizona is ocean front property. We won't have to pay our share of taxes. Yippee!
