Next up on the primary schedule for the Republicans is Michigan. In the poll CNN quotes, Mitt Romney is showing a 2% lead there over John McCain, with a margin of error...of 4-5%. But Reuters is citing a different poll, that shows McCain 3% points ahead of Romney, with a margin of error just over 3%... So I suppose the consensus is: too close to call!
Romney has said he'll keep the campaign going at least through February, but would love to win Michigan, where he grew up and where his father was governor for 6 years. Romney came in second in both Iowa and New Hampshire.
McCain won Michigan in 2000.
