if the dems win the senate and the two leadership slots they then would control all phases and could make real change. That potential prize, one year from now, is far more attractive than any short term grandstanding that might only cause the other big block of voters to run back to lend support to their poor suffering so called leaders. it is important to remember the idea should be to bring the country together, not tear it apart.

Better to let them simply fade away, gain power, then get on with the business of righting every wrong.

We need to start the change now, not after the next election. America can't afford to wait!!! I live in Cleveland, OH; maybe next year is getting old. I voted and supported Democrats in '06 for change. They have caved more than I could have imagined. I want change now.
I think mainstream media made a major accomplishment today. Democrats now have a woman and a man of color. They can control the message and it won't be for either. I'm glad Obama is running, but I fear the book he wrote won't play well in the general election. Mainstream media has the power to control the message. That's how we got George W. and a war of choice. No accountability, no tough questions, no fact check, mainstream media should be ashamed! They are rarely journalists; they are spin meisters, spinning for the Republicans and this administration. Religion and News should not be Democrat or Republican!
I would still like a ticket that speaks for me! Obama or Hillary is spin candidates. We can look forward to spin not fact for the upcoming election. I have had my fill of spin! I want facts! I want a ticket that takes on spin with fact. Wouldn't two individuals who are willing to take on mainstream media and this administration at the same time. Americans would be talking about facts instead of spin. Oh that would be wonderful for America. We could get back on track with facts! OOOOH if only?

We have been reduced to a banana republic by our dependence on foreign oil and NAFTA. We manufacture almost nothing now. Ronald Reagan removed the tariffs and GHW Bush and Bill Clinton pushed through these ridicules trade agreements so our corporations off shored everything. We've been sold out.

We have how many people in America? Why is Naomi Wolf's voice so lonely? One would think she would be able to get the conversation going? Instead a few of us try to speak up and a few of us read what is posted? How do we reach the masses? What will it take to get people to pay attention? Will they have to lose their 401K's? Will their children have to be drafted for another war of aggression? Will it be too late? If Naomi is right, we are knocking on the door to loosing our rights, our freedom of speech. She makes valid points.

The '08 Presidential race is more spin than substance. If the Democratic candidates were serious they would be taking George W. to task with facts today. It has been reported this administration lied over 900 times leading us into war with Iraq. How can the 900+ lies not be an issue in the campaign? We are in a war of choice! They lied, our soldiers died! Our young men and women are in harms way due to lies! What else needs to be said? Testimony under oath would be a good place to start. Why isn?t anyone investigating the lies? It?s just accepted, ?okay, they lied?? It?s illegal for the President to lie to the American people!

We need accountability now, not pipe dreams about the future. I wish Hillary and Obama would have spent the last year doing their jobs in the Senate! They should have been the leading voices calling for justice! They weren?t! They missed important votes! They were absent from the discussion of issues! They were busy campaigning? If they aren?t doing their jobs today, how can they be trusted with tomorrow? It?s time they are asked, ?What have you done for me lately?? Do they think the 900+ lies are acceptable and what do they plan to do about it? Do they plan to hold George W. Bush accountable?
