It's Her Party And She'll Cry If She Wants To

Now Clinton is trying to change the rules mid-game. She’s arguing that her delegates from Michigan should count after all. (Running essentially unopposed, she still got only 55% of the vote, since 40% voted “uncommitted” and Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel–and Chris Dodd, who’d already dropped out–split the remaining 5%.) She campaigned in Florida with a wink and a nod (doing closed talks and photo ops, not public rallies), while trying to get those delegates to count too. She seems to be banking on the hope that a Florida win, even if only symbolic, will erase Obama’s momentum from his massive South Carolina victory.
Now you can argue the right or wrong of the Democratic decision to put teeth into the agreement that the primaries should have some kind of structured sequence, and not just be a mad dash to see who comes earliest. And the Florida situation was created not by state Democrats but by the Republican legislature. But I can find no evidence that Clinton raised objections when the initial decisions were made. And now she’s trying to change the rules in the middle of the game. Her surrogate Bill overtly supported a similar attempt when allied teachers union officials tried to ban special caucuses on the Nevada strip after the Culinary Workers Union endorsed Obama. Ironically, Clinton won a majority of these caucuses, but her contempt for the rules was the same. She was a team player only when she thought it would benefit her.

yea, what kind of a world is it when we live to serve the kinds of people who can always take but never give?
who would mean to do well except with the sight of big dollars in bribes and "campaign finance" to essentially vote against conscience...people like HIllary. They've only chosen to play their part in a corrupt system, unbeknownst to the rest of us.

It Amazes me that a woman so currupted and unsavory can honestly be one of the democratic front runners, it simply kills me to think that america can be so blind and uninformed when it comes to such an important decision, and that they let the one canidate with intergrity and passion slip through the cracks of the all consuming media, John Edwards was the only Canidate that i connected with, he's the only canidate who spoke from his heart and not a peice of paper, but americans are so ready for change that we can ony see it in a black man and a woman, this nation has dissapointed me yet again, and though i still love it and politics i can't help but express my hate for this shallow decision.

wow.. thank you much leahl
don't anybody accuse Hillary of having integrity, huh? lol or any real hope for real Americans either...
I recall Current had on figure where she TOPPED the list for financial campaign contributions from the health care industry...
She's bought and sold...then subversively crammed down our throats Bush style...
I just hate that Edwards isn't running anymore, just because he was so outspoken about the savage poverty Americans are in (or not so far from)! he had more character than Bill and Hillary put together on any given Sunday...just my opinion =D
