Indeed the death toll continues to rise. The Red Cross is reporting that it has topped 1,000, many thousands have been injured and around 304,000 people have been left homeless.

This only adds more misery to an already dismal outlook for the future of Kenya, it was reported yesterday that Mwai Kibaki the Kenyan President, refused to allow a South African mediator to aid in solution talks as he had reason to believe that the mediator, responsible in helping to end SA apartheid, had business links to the opposition leader, Raila Odinga.
