What's your take? Are young voters really race and gender blind?

Also, the racial argument has been misguided for a long time. It's not about color, and arguably it never has been. It's about class, culture, and behavior.

I think it IS important to take Obama's race into account. The mere fact that he's not white gives the world a new impression of America. And at a time when we desperately need the world to rethink their disposition towards us, I welcome someone who breaks the mold.
Also, it opens the door to TRUE diversity. With Obama as president, the American Dream really can live and thrive in all its citizenry. - 4 years ago

Yes, because we live in a new generation whose surrounded by diversity. We have multi-colored / cultured people who we all call friends, in some cases family. We are definitely color and gender blind. However it all depends on who your talking to. Those in the south may think differently due to the racial division's between black and white.... But we shall see later on today wheather race and gender really matters.
