Young voters anxious to be heard

Young voters could be a deciding factor, particularly in the Democratic Primary. Interestingly, young voters are said to be race and gender blind - so a vote for Obama is not a race related vote and a vote for Hillary is not a gender based vote.

What's your take? Are young voters really race and gender blind?

    • This election will be determined young, middle-aged and elderly women.

Men just don't change their voting patterns enough ...

    • Also, the racial argument has been misguided for a long time. It's not about color, and arguably it never has been. It's about class, culture, and behavior.

    • I think it IS important to take Obama's race into account. The mere fact that he's not white gives the world a new impression of America. And at a time when we desperately need the world to rethink their disposition towards us, I welcome someone who breaks the mold.
Also, it opens the door to TRUE diversity. With Obama as president, the American Dream really can live and thrive in all its citizenry.

    • Yes, because we live in a new generation whose surrounded by diversity. We have multi-colored / cultured people who we all call friends, in some cases family. We are definitely color and gender blind. However it all depends on who your talking to. Those in the south may think differently due to the racial division's between black and white.... But we shall see later on today wheather race and gender really matters.
