"While our opponents would callously ignore them, this proud American believes that even temporary cities deserve the attention of the President of the United States," said McCain senior staffer Mark Dosenberner. "We are proud that Black Rock City will be a stop on the 'Straight Talk Express' tour this summer."

McCain does *not* belong at BM. People go there not only for the experience, but to escape from the default world! Although the theme this year is the "American Dream", people have already been feeling touchy about the subject, especially after the street names were named after cars. McCain has no right to be campaigning there, and I'm pretty sure there will be people there who are not happy about this and will let it be known. This is just another scheme to make him look "cool", and he should choose another festival to try and recruit more supporters.

this is for real according to the burning man website. I could not find any information on MR McCain's Website about or of this possibility.
I love this quote from the Burning man website link.
The Burning Man Project has been fully cooperating with the McCain campaign, ensuring that every possible security step will be taken to ensure the Senator's safety while in Black Rock City. "Let's see ... I think we've got some caution tape around here somewhere," said Burning Man founder Larry Harvey. "Oh yeah, here it is."

Well, isn't that ironic. Doesn't that defeat the "counter-culture" idea?

MCCain will do anything. since he got the conservative nomination, he's now trying to get all others. He voted for allowing torture and his biggest policy point is to continue staying in Iraq for 100 years. He's another Bush. Don't forget, he could have a senior moment one day and press the wrong button. He's another Military Monster that this country does NOT need. Don't let him fool people. I'm sure he doesn't even know what Burning Man is.
