Venezuela thinks the Simpsons corrupt young children, so they pulled it from their television stations and replaced it with Baywatch!

    • Honestly I watched both programs growing up. I totally missed the sexual innuendo that Baywatch offered, and the wise cracks the Simpsons poored out continuously. Neither messed me up. (Or so I believe) If anything I would say Baywatch is a down-grade since it only represents images of white beauty. Latin American countries although ethnically diverse, like the US suffer from being mis-informed that beauty has to be established based on a white standard. In this matter the Simpsons is an improvement because it shows ethnic diversity (although sometimes stereotypical.)

    • You're right it's waste of time comparing one scene and dismissing the rest of the show just like only focusing on all the times Homer says D'oh and leaving out everything else.

The point was which had a more positive and relevant message?

      "Panic at Malibu Pier"

Mitch and Al have to rescue the people on the boat. Craig rescues a girl named Laurie. During a rescue, Trevor rescues a woman instead of two boys who were closer to him.

Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire.

Bart sneaks away and gets a tattoo reading "Mother". After discovering this, Marge immediately takes him to a laser removal clinic and spends the family's Christmas money getting Bart's tattoo removed.

Homer receives his paycheck and is dismayed to see it is only for $13. Barney, who has received a check for the same amount, suggests betting it at the dog track. With encouragement from Bart, Homer decides to gamble his paycheck and takes Bart with him to the dog track.

The people that made the decision probably watched more than that one scene of Baywatch.

    • Venezuela has a lot of beaches and showing rescues could help more with how children handle themselves in emergencies.
