I call bullshit on this, plus there is no way McCain would want a woman as his running mate.

    • We all know McCain wouldn't last long in office - he may not even last long enough to make it to November. I'd have no doubt "they" are feeding him a steady diet of testosterone to give the old man the strength and vitality to campaign - but it takes a serious toll.

The danger is that the Ripusoffican machine is positioning McCain's VP to be the president - not McCain. See - Americans wouldn't vote for whoever they've got in mind - so, like the old dogs they are, they are repeating the Reagan / Bush (Sr) and Bush / Cheney BS to get who they want into office.

Forgetaboutit!! Ain't gonna happen "Propaganda Network", opps, I mean "Faux News", opps, I mean "Fixed News", opps, I did it again.

    • Yeah, I'm with Lemur with a "U" and MM on this. Faux news hypotheticals are a step down from what's reported as fact and passed down from the White House. I think the majority of people are over this administration and adding Rice would just confirm and extension of the Bush administration and she'd be just as effective. On the other hand, never underestimate the voting public that watches Fox!

    • Does anyone remember that Reagan was suffering from Alzheimer's very visibly before the end of his second term. Nancy had to whispers answers to him when he got lost in conversation. My guess is the Neo Cons knew before he even took office. They are fixing to try again. We haven't had a real Republican President in a very long time.

    • It's a FIXED NEWS, oops I mean FOX NEWS source for this stupid poll. Fox was instumental in beating the drums towards invading Iraq by slanting the news and accusing those against it as helping the terroist. Fox should be off the air.

During the last month during his "tour" he's had at least 5 senior moments. He doesn't even know who the "enemies" are in Iraq. He keeps getting confused by Shites, Sunnis and Iran insurgents. God help us.

    • John Wayne McCain needs help and treatment for his chronic PTSD, not the title of President of the United States. If he does win, I hope he only manages to bomb a few countries in the 24 hours he's in office before he dies. Paul/Nader '08!

    • phoenix fire, i'm with you, but i'm still concerned.
enough was enough before the war even began, and look how far we've come anyway. I lost faith in the American people in Nov. 2004

    • I agree we need a change but I do hope that republicans at least acknowledge the public opinion and join in this historic moment while they have qualified minority candidates to choose from.

    • The world wouldn't be any different than it is now, seeing that McCain's foreign and domestic policies are exactly like Bush & Cheney's. It would be Bush's 3rd term, except a lot more wars, for 100 years even.

Enough is enough! Time for a change.

      Obama 08!

    • I think that it would be wise to choose a qualified minority candidate as a running mate for John McCain. I think this election has proved that the country not only is ready but actualy wants to see history made in this election, actualy being more hesitant to make history by electing the oldest president ever than in electing either a woman or black man in all national polling. Polling that certainly would fit with the record votes in this primary season.

I would prefer Elizabeth Dole to Rice however. If only she or John McCain had been chosen as the nominee or vice president in 2000 rather than George Bush and Dick Cheney. Imagine how diferent the world would be? Elizabeth Dole was head of the American Red Cross for nearly a decade, was the first woman to head a military Branch, the Coast Gaurd, served on the FEC, and in other cabinet level positions for three presidents, and has now served as a Senator, she is also of course the wife of former candidate Bob Dole. Also Rice has repeatedly stated publicaly that she has no interest in the position saying she would prefer to see "new blood." Then again that could just be another reference to drumming up for war in Iran :( Either way I personaly hope that it means Rice won't be a part of the next administration. Her performance in the 9/11 hearings is still a sore point for many Americans and her historic tenure as Secretary of State has been marred irrevocably as one of the cheif architects of the Iraq War, something she has again publicaly acknowledged.

    • Lemur with a U, We could start a survey company and come up with the exact same results if we ask everyone in the nursing home. Those people thought they were being called to dinner.
