The author compared Hillary to Queen Narissa and Bill Clinton, Nathaniel. I think there were some pharmaceuticals involved in the writing of this piece...

    • right on krag.

as i sat reading the resoponces from maltesetitan this morning, i could not help but think i was reading another thread from my past. the same arguments in a different time and place. really, this is exactly what maltesetitan is advocting with the clinton propaganda anyway, so its not to suprising.

thanks krag for pointing out what is going on here....

    • Okay Maltesetitan we go through this every couple of days. I don't know why you continue to post things that have been refuted, but we all know the drill. You post a ton of crazy sh*t, one of us refutes it, having no response you disappear from this thread only to pop up on some new one to cut and paste the same stale arguments. Okay, I'll play along, but only for sake of any new people who are reading this thread.

I'll start with the only new piece of information you've added to your "argument" for Senator Clinton, Jim Cramer. I don't know if Cramer really did endorse Clinton on Ellen's show or not, you didn't provide a link to that one. But...even if he did, I'm not sure how much you want bank on the guy who was pimping Bear Sterns just 6 days before it collapsed.

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUkbdjetlY8

So maybe this guy isn't the best source for what's going to happen in the market or this race.

As to your point that things were better in the 90's when Clinton was in office, I'll once again point out that Bill Clinton isn't running for president and that Hillary didn't make any policy back then. To borrow from your earlier analogy, if I had an accountant who I liked and who had done a good job, I wouldn't automatically assume that his wife was also a good accountant. And Phillyphil was right on the money when he said:

"the nineties had different struggles, highlights and world dynamics. to say that now we can employ the exact same tactics and be wholly sucessful is like saying that we should try using a war again to boost the economy (oh wait) or that child labor really helped families earn money, so...."

Lastly...the pledge thing. I know I've posted this link of Obama saying the Pledge of Allegiance with his hand over his heart for you at least 3 times. Why do you continue to parrot that lie? If you are just going to cut and paste, at least have the decency to edit out the things you know aren't true.
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JD6bKaVW-ls

We get that you support Clinton, which is your right. I'm not trying to change your mind. But lecturing us and telling us we don't know what we're talking about because we're not as old as you isn't helping your or Senator Clinton's cause.

    • Krag2112,

McCain is to old, and has always been very undecided in his voting.
He has either been a republican or an Independent he could never make up his mind. He sided with one or the other when it best suited his needs.

He has never had a mind of his own. I have watched his voting record for years.

And now he can not remember who are troops are training in Iraq even when he is right in front of them speaking to them.

He also can not remember it when he is talking to the General in charge of those ( our ) troops overseas weather our troops are training terrorist.

I know about the Selective Service, There was a time when the Vietnam war was going on that everyone who signed up for the Selective Service, (and it is the Law you have to sign up) was drafted into the Army. Which meant you went to War weather you wanted to or not.

You who are in college ages 1 to 30 years old get ready because if John Mcain gets in and they reinstate the Draft because it was the republicans that did that .

Then you will get the oppurtunity to travel for free!
To a warm climate were there is no pools and no females in bikini's.

You will get to lose weight and plenty of good excrise.

Obama says he did not vote for the War? Why everyone else in this country wanted to go after the ones that attacked us.

      Remember 911, I do!

Hillary vote to go after the ones that attacked us!

BUT OF COURSE NOBODY ASKS OBAMA THIS! WHY DOES HE SAY HE DID NOT VOTE FOR THE WAR WHEN HE WAS NOT EVEN IN THE SENATE AT THE TIME TO BE ABLE TO!

WAS HE THERE IN HIS MIND! DID HE IMAGINE HE WAS THERE OR WAS IT LIKE THE 20 YEARS HE FIRST SAID HE DID NOT HEAR WRIGHT'S COMMENTS AND THEN SAID HE DID!

      LIE , LIE, LIE, LIE, LIE, LIE, - - - - -- -- - - -

    • did someone say that he was a colonel? i must have missed it.

one thing i always liked about my colonels is their propensity to say a lot and do little. and what they did say often made no sense. (thank god people can't speak in all caps)

    • I can't see a President in the White House that doesn't place his hand over his heart when the national anthem is played.

Yes of course i have many strong feels about other issues, but to think of seeing are President in front of the United nations ( other countries of the world ) when a solider dies or at the placing of the reef of flowers at the grave of the unknown solider and our President not doing that which shows respect to those who died for this country.
      Makes me cringe!

    • Should Obama Not Be Subject To the Oath

Here is a Preseidential candidate that won't even cross his heart for the Pledge of Alligence, wear an American pin on his jacket and listens to bigot and racist remarks from a sick and twisted Rev. Wright. You bet your a$$ I am questioning his patriotism, morals, values, and character.

Senator Obama is a memeber of the United States Senate, As such he took an oath of office. In that oath, he is to up hold the Constitution of the United States. He is not to lend his support to any foreign or domestic person or group that has hate towards the United States. He has violated that oath. He (Obama) was the first person to step in to say that IMUS the Radio Host on NBC Radio for over 20 years (IMUS IN THE MORNING) made the statement on Fox News that IMUS should be Fired from his job because of the comments he made on the air. This was helped along by Jeese Jackson and Al Sharpton both are black men that enjoy going after any type of what seems to them to be a racial remark. ( Don Imus a white male ) was fired from his job. Now to my understanding he was replaced (Don Imus's) Radio Host with a black man, not like Jackson or Sharpton or Obama had andything to do with it (of course not). When Rev. Wright made the comments about GOD DAMN AMERICA and the comments about Hillary Fox News had to chase down Jeese Jaskson to find him and when asked he did not waht to talk about it! Double Standard! This is the stuff that causes the problems and we do not need any part of this type of Change if this is what is prscribed for this country by Obama. Should Obama remain a Senator you vote he wants you to forget he just pulled the wool over your eyes and you didn't even see him do it, because he talked about race and that scraed you, so you just don't want to talk about race because you can't deal with it, so you back off and not ask him why he has subjected his family and supports this Rev Wright that speaks hate againsit the United States when we have soilders being killed everyday and were attacked in New York, 911 and he says he didn't vote to go after the ones involved.

That is what Rev. Wright meant when he said the chicken have come home to roost" DID YOU NOT UNDERSTAND, and Obama follows this man and you vote for him are following Rev.Wright if you follow OBAMA.

"Have we not all heard the saying you can tell what type of person someone is by the company they keep"

      NOT ME!!!!

      My Family will Vote Hillary.Clinton!!

    • I watched as President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton straightened out the economy of this country. As interest rates for Certificate's of Deposit went to 7.5% and more. When people were making money and businesses were going off the chart. At the same time I opened my a business out of my home.

The internet companies to off, and the stock market had new IPO's weekly. New companies like AMD were started.

Jim Cramer ( Stock Guru ) of MAD MONEY CNBC said when asked on Ellen's Show who would be the best President stated: Hillary Clinton would be the Best President! Does this country not remember the 8 eight years were employment was at an all time high, the national debt was being paid off and at it's lowest it's been for 25 years , businesses are doing great, the economy is better then its been for 25 years, and are over seas relationships remain friendly.

Hillary was always said, to be the power being the man.
They did it once they can do it again!

This from: Jim Cramer ( Stock Guru ) of MAD MONEY CNBC.

      Check it out for yourself.

How soon we for get. When we have a good President like President Bill Clinton we forget how the media pokes fun at a President when he is doing good. President Bill Clinton Had The Highest Approval Rating while in Office of any Sitting President.

How the Media always use to say " If it was not for Hillary talking Bill Into it It Wouldn't Have Gotten Done".

Some of you might be to young to remember what he really did for this country, or you to busy with other things to be concerned at the time with political matters. Or old enough to vote. Now you are! I'm a Colonel and I've been there. I know who I endorse.

HOW SOON WE FORGET! ! !

      VOTE HILLARY!

Things have changed. they have gotten worst because Bush did not continue on the course that President Clinton Hillary and ice President Al Gore had laid out in correcting the problems. Here you look at this chart. THIS IS WERE WE WERE AT THE BLUE!

8 years of his tax breaks to the rich and his friends in the oil companies now Obama is getting money from Midland oil and another Oil company because he voted for a Bush Cheeney Energy bill and Hillary vote agaist it.

Here is the Chart and Obama vote for that bill check the links for your self. Unless your scared.

False Advertising: New Obama Ad Falsely Claims He Does Not Accept Money From Oil Companies

"It’s unfortunate that Senator Obama is using false advertising to explain why he can be trusted to do something about energy prices. Senator Obama says he doesn’t take campaign contributions from oil companies but the reality is that Exxon, Shell, and others are among his donors. I wonder if they’ll fix the ad.” – Clinton Campaign Spokesman Phil Singer

A new ad by Sen. Obama running in Pennsylvania falsely claims that Sen. Obama does not accept money from the oil industry. In the ad, Sen. Obama says "I'm Barack Obama and I don't take money from oil companies or lobbyists and I wont let them block change anymore."

According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Sen. Obama has received over $160,000 from the oil and gas companies. Two major bundlers for his campaign -- George Kaiser and Robert Cavnar – are oil company CEOs. Sen. Obama has accepted money from Exxon, Shell, BP, Chevron and just about every other major oil company.

      http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?con...

In 2005, Sen. Obama voted for the Dick Cheney energy bill, which Cheney wrote in secret with the oil industry. Hillary Clinton opposed Cheney's energy bill, has a plan to eliminate oil industry tax breaks, and would require oil companies to contribute to a $50 billion strategic energy fund to jumpstart research and investment in clean energy technologies.

Would you use the same person each year to do you taxes because you trust that person. Or would you want someone different each year because the tax code changes each year.
If you want the same person what is the difference in ACCOUNTING. 2+2 still =4. The economy is in a mess and it took a Clinton to correct the economy the only one that has done it in 25 read it 25 years! ! !

And you want to take a chance on someone that has NO experience to correct the economy when we are sitting in a Bankrupcy state.

You really do not beleive that. The only thing that changes in this world is the republicans spend the money and the democrats try to save it usually!

But! in my life time the best President I have seen that has lowered the national deficit, that has corrected this economy and our foriegn relationships, had a wife that started and worked to get national Health care for everyone back in 1993 was the Clinton's and you need to read your history. I'm not a young kid like you are.

I'm a Colonel and 51 years old. you were concerned with a car your girlfriend or other things never thought about what the deficit was or you never really cared but Hillary former First Lady did remember Hillary was helping to em Peach President Nixon in the Senate working right out of college when Obama was a kid. Hillary has the experience.

    • the weird thing about history, is that it is history.

the nineties had different struggles, highlights and world dynamics. to say that now we can employ the exact same tactics and be wholly sucessful is like saying that we should try using a war again to boost the economy (oh wait) or that child labor really helped families earn money, so....

things have changed, things drastically need to change, we need a leader who is ready and couragous enough to try new techniques and revitalze college loans, tax structure, war policy, foreign relations, environmental attitude and health care.

      new day, new game.
we dont need to "meet the new boss, same as the old boss."
and NAFTA is the worst policy of all time!!

    • seeker...I couldn't agree more. And then there's the issue of how all this plays against McCain. Hillary can't beat him on experience. So if she gets the nomination, she'll have to pivot and try to become the change candidate. There's no doubt she will try, but moderates will see this schizophrenia for what it is...political expediency. And it will confirm their fears of her. She made a tactical error in how she ran her campaign and it's going to be her undoing.

Sorry Maltesetitan. I agree with Chique, you are a nice person and a passionate supporter. I hope you are not too disappointed when this one doesn't go your way.

    • I don't want to take anything away from Bill as a President -- but lately I find myself wondering just how much of the economic expansion of the 90's was directly attributable to his specific policies (did NAFTA really create wealth here?) and how much was just a natural expansion that would have occurred anyway?

Again, I'm not expert but our economy does tend to cycle in booms and busts.

Did Bill (who I agree with fairly responsible in fiscal terms) just happen to be the guy sitting there when things were going great?

How much did Bill play a role in the massive Dot.com explosion of wealth? Any? None?

I may be way off base on this but I keep looking at the debates between Ross Perot and the Clintons regarding NAFTA (with Bill dismissing Ross' fears of a "giant suckin sound" as baseless hysteria) and asking the question "If Bill was so far off the mark on how NAFTA would effect the economy -- can we really credit him for the expansion that occurred during his term?"

Hopefully, this is hyperbole with no actual truth behind it since there is no constitutional role for the first lady to be running anything!

" I would go with the one with experience."

If there is one thing the current administration has plenty of, it is experience. I have had it with experience. I am fed up with experience.

What I want is vision and judgement.

      Someone with experience.

    • Chique,
I'm always amazed at how stupid or some of the young people are in the world today. When they have knowledge that (bill) former President Bill Clinton put this country in the best economic space it has ever been in, in 25 years. He along with Vice President AL Gore lowered the deficit. created the lowest unemployment this country has ever seen, people at the time of his administration if you had $500 you could take out a CD at the bank and earn 7.5% interest on it. I know I did! And our overseas friendships were great and you all disrespect him and his wife when they corrected the problems this country was in and also was the president when the tech boom took off and you all are enjoying the fruits of that right now!.

You really need to read up on your history because i was there in the middle of all of it when AMD first filed as an IPO on the stockmarket. When Qualcomm stock was over $250 a share that is when President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore and First Lady Hillary Clinton were running this country and things were good and you were going to school and had nothing to worry about but what you watched on TV. ate, sleep, and played with.

So now you have more then that to think of and you did not study hard enough or learn about the President al Administration that help straigthen out the deficit that BUSH when he got in there has NOW SCREWED UP!

So who will it take to fix it. Someone who fixed it in the first place!

if your mommy changed your diaper would you want someone at a McDonalds to fix it for you!

I used to look up to both of them and would rather have had Clinton in the White House the past 7+ years - - but the way they've chosen to run this campaign has really been sleezy.
