Malcolm X was all over the map in his life, what he did, what he believed and he was honest about this in his later speeches. He was once a criminal, not a political, revolutionary criminal, but a standard criminal. He was caught and convicted, embraced Islam in prison, but it was a Black racist sect of Islam. Later in life he embraced standard Islam and acknowledged that there were White Muslims.
