Dick Cheney: I AM THE LAW!!!!

If memory serves, the last time the Vice President claimed he was not subject to anyone's review or oversight, someone in Congress filed a bill to halt Congress's funding of the Office of The Vice President. Mr. Cheney changed his tune fairly quickly after that manuever. His assertions would be comical if they were not so brazenly insulting. But, then, to quote the man in question: "SO?"

It wouldn't make a bit of difference, but why doesn't congress hold his checks to show him what's up? A man with an ego like Dicks would make a good show

Unfortunately - it is ignored so far - let's hope for good cause.

Cheney's lawyer needs to be disbarred and imprisoned. Remember the Hilary scandal we read about here where she hid documents from the court's legal library to get over with a fraudulent brief?

What's the difference? HIlary - Cheney? Same games, same tactics, same BS.

"The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

There's been a lot of amendments to the constitution, but this one hasn't changed.

Has no one else thought about the precedent this is sending? If he goes unchecked and this argument holds, what's to stop the next VP from doing the same thing? He'll be backed up by the fact that nothing was done to prove Cheney wrong, and then hey, while we're at it, let's just give him the job indefinitely. Hell, why not make the presidency a permanent position as well? I mean, since we're constantly involved in some war here or there, we need the stability of a constant figurehead to lead us through these tough times... This slope isn't slippery, its a mudslide. America is heading in the wrong direction, and it's gonna take alot of others with it...

This Congress has failed the oath it took to reign in these criminals. They need a refresher course in why there are three branches of government and the duties of THEIR branch...on second thought, forget it...let's just impeach them all.

See, we can take it back, it is possible. Cheney could be held accountable, but we the PEOPLE have to step up and MAKE it happen. We have to stand up for our rights, IMPEACH those bastards, and let whoever steps into the White House in January know in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that they cannot take our country away from us. We must actually participate for that to happen, though, so get out and petition, vote, and create a sense of fear OF the people by the government!

So before he said he wasn't liabe to Executive branch laws because he was really a part of congress, and now he decides it's the other way around? I guess the vice presidency exists in an alternate reality where up is down, then up again, then down, however Cheney wants it.

They better get him out of there. His time is limited and he doesn't want anyone else left standing if he has to go. More truth than fiction there.
