George Bush's private army back In Iraq and now being unleashed here in America!

keithponder
Blackwater is the private security, and American government's mercenary group that was found guilty of humanitarian crimes that included the unprovoked murders of a countless number of unarmed Iraqi civilians. They had been kicked out of Iraq. Their stories were told on 60 Minutes and other mainstream media outlets in this country. What's not being told is that, not only have they been sent back to patrol the streets of Iraq, but that the right-wing,fundamental Christian sponsored, mercenary group is now being unleashed in the city streets of America.
It apparently didn't bother Americans that much when that were using Iraqi civilians as target practice to sharping their killing skills. What will Americans say when they find out that these,"found guilty" mercenaries are being sent our cities to patrol the streets,by this,"shadow government, that most Americans claim does not really exist. Our congressman or senators of this government say that ,they themselves, have no knowledge as to who does control and monitor Blackwater. So who does oversee these so-called private security groups like Blackwater, and since they have immunity from prosecution, who do they answer to.
Since2001,the Bush administration has funded Blackwater with than one billion dollars for private contracts throughout the world, while over one hundred billion dollars are awarded to in military defense contracts to private security companies every year, around the world. The average salary for a Blackwater secuity agent is around twelve hundred dollars a day. That's six times more than the salary that the American soldiers are being paid to fight the same war. In addition to this, the new Iraqi constituttion that the American government help the Iraqis write, no longer has the authority to expell Blackwater and other private security firms from their own country.

    • CHILLY!

I am from Illinois and I can't imagine anywhere from the corn to the ghetto that needs Blackwater Mercenaries in it. That's for video games not real life.

Yeah, I know it doesn't matter what we call it, I was just trying to put the words into real context. George Orwell warned about the improper use of (the English) language in his 1946 essay "Politics and the English Language" (http://www.mtholyoke.edu/acad/intrel/orwell46.htm). It's really a fascinating read and still applies to many things today

Let's just hope the next president isn't McCain, because that's just more of Bush but with a different face.

    • neokn, I don't think it matters what it was called in the past, we need to figure out how to change it today, before it's only a blip in history, with a future of 'decidership'. We need 'Leaders' not 'deciders'!

We need to find out fast how we can still take back our future?

      Yesterday is History
      Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a Gift, that's why we call it Present

We need to find a way to use the Gift (FREEDOM) we have Today, because our Present dictates our future.

    • I am appalled at what's happening around the so-called "military industrial complex". Eisenhower was so right when he spoke about the MIC.

"... conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence -- economic, political, even spiritual -- is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the militaryindustrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together. "
      Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1961 (http://coursesa.matrix.msu.edu/~hst306/documents/indust.html)

Whenever mercenaries are included in war it becomes a mess. Mercenaries usually aren't accountable for what they do and they get away with anything, especially if they have backing from the government.

I would not call the US government nazi nor fascist. Those names have specific historically meanings and I dont usually use them out of historical timeframe. A pro-private policy is "fascist" in nature, however, fascism and nazism had a great deal of socialism included in their policies, whilst the current US domestic policy is far from socialist.

But how can one really fight against the oppression by the multimillion international companies and their own pro-profit government? Protests? I doubt a revolution could take place

    • (predictable response when liberal talking points are threatened by reality)

Obama says we should negotiate with our enemies like those great Dems of the past - Roosevelt, Truman, and Kennedy. Roosevelt did not negotiate - his policy was Unconditional Surrender. Truman did not negotiate, he upheld Roosevelt's policy through 1945 and then sent in the troops when N. Korea threatened the South. Kennedy did negotiate which ultimately led to the Crisis in October.

Had our Philanderer in Chief not propped up his failing economy in the mid 90's by eviscerating our military*, we would not be forced to hire private contractors to perform duties the military no longer has the men or materiel to handle.

Thank goodness we still have entrepreneurs and former military willing to face death at the hands of coward extremists and support the US Military, serve the interests of the United States, protect diplomats and innocent civilians in Iraq - and ultimately protect you and me..

*American military forces that were eliminated during the administration of Bill Clinton and Al Gore:

      - 709,000 regular (active duty) personnel.

      - 293,000 reserve troops.

      - Eight standing army divisions.

      - 20 Air Force and Naval Air wings with 2,000 combat aircraft.

      - 232 strategic bombers.

      - 19 strategic ballistic missile submarines with 3,114 nuclear warheads on 232 missiles.

      - 500 ICBM’s with 1,950 warheads.

      - Four aircraft carriers and 121 surface combat ships and submarines plus all the support bases, shipyards, and logistical assets needed to sustain such a naval force.

    • I think we should all get together and invite Mahmoud Abbas, Ahmadinejad, Hu Jintao, Kim Jong Ill, Hugo Chavez, and Osama Bin Laden to a veggie roast. We could all meet in Saudi Arabia and discuss what it is like to be a kafir. After we repent for all our war crimes such as freeing the Jews from Dachau, liberating France, Italy, the Philippines, Polynesia, and Kuwait. Oh yeah, and for building McDonalds in Arabia. They will then divide our possessions, our land, and our families among themselves. Then the Dhimmis will be told where we are to live, how much we have to eat, where to send our jizya, and which madrassa the men must attend. Ladies, don’t forget your burqa! Just think how this will lower our carbon foot print!

    • AGREED! Contact your representatives. That's how we make change happen.

The book BLACKWATER came out last year. The new edition came out late May this year. It's a very informative read. Any private militia is dangerous to the public (also true for privatized police and jails). Whence corporations employ militias or contract with private militias to protect their interests - democracy can no longer exist. In our case, these are no bid contracts (sigh) that our Executive has arranged which protect the private agency against any accountability. There are currently over 100,000 private militia employees in Iraq - about five agencies. They get paid three or four times what our own military is paid. Remember the Falluja fiasco: Blackwater employees were killed dragged and burned - a reaction to their activities there - by less than thirty people living there. And we responded by destroying 75% of the town and killing thousands of civilians AFTER the religious leaders in Falluja and elsewhere in Iraq totally denounced the killings of the Blackwater employees as unacceptable - saying they would find the killers and immediately prosecute them. We did not even give them a chance. Ponder that.

Currently our Congress is attempting to make these agencies accountable. Bush will veto or create signing statements changing any such bills that pass. I think there needs to be a complete regulation of such entities. All military should be within the government whether drafted or volunteer - period. Won't happen with Bush in office.

    • ranchocharcoredondo, I'm confident they won't create an army against the chemical plants and factories that pollute. They are the ones who will be protected.

I fear voices of individuals who speak out against chemical plants and factories will be the targets! They are an intricate part of the new Corporate run America. We are going away from 'We The People'. We are going toward 'We The Corporations', because they rule the world and they will have their own private army to guarantee it.

    • Is there any possibility of electing a majority of honest people wthout public financing of elections? Without a house cleaning at the CIA and FBI we don't stand a chance of doing much. How in the Hell did this happen? No news. Don't let them get the internet, or it's over.

    • The only thing I can say is, "I wish I could vote for this video 1,000,000,000 times and make it the top videos on Current.com, for it is sooo important for Americans to realize, these guys could be policing us, with the mere stroke of a pen.

During the early 90's at the hight of daddy Bush's drug war, I was raising teenage boys in the inner city. I was more afraid of the police than the drug dealers.

My oldest son was an Honor Roll Student, who was never in trouble and maintained above a 4 point average in high school. That did not protect him from harrassment by our local police. He was walking on our street and the police drove up and asked him where he was going. He answered, "home, why, are you going to give me a ride?" Their answer was, "if we give you a ride it won't be home."

I wasn't racially motivated because we are white. It was economically motivated. I live in the inner city and every young person was suspect, just because of where we live.

It was sad then, it will be even sadder in the future, when they have private mercenaries to police Americans for what ever war they and mainstream media spin.

SAD, SAD, SAD! Thanks for posting the video. I wish it would wake Americans from their slumber.

Where i live (sunny Netherlands) no one i talked to so far did know about Blackwater at all - not even the people that had been servicing in Afghanistan for the Dutch army.

    • The key phrase in this report is that... their republican allies in Congress are shielding these perpetrators from any effective oversight or accountability...as they are shielding this administration also...and in the film footage the one guy is saying, "Jesus Christ, this is like a f**king turkey shoot.." while they're killing innocent civilians..!

People, this is more than criminal. It is more than sacriligious. It is insane...and they're doing this in our name...

It is time to seek out these republican members of Congress and hold them, along with the rest of this sordid group, accountable for their actions... Will someone please wave a magic wand and erase all of these sick scumbags...we don't seem to be able to have a real Congress, a real government...of the people...

This is what happens when the power is usurped...two terms in a row...lets fire the whole damn bunch of them...

    • They need their private army when they tell us that our money isn't worth the paper is printed on and that we all have to start over again.

We of course will still owe our liabilities but our assets will be rendered useless. The private army will be there to prevent us from rising up in revolution.

They don't want a Second American Revolution.

    • This is looking like it has to be stopped from the ground up. Recall elections of congress people would be the place to start. I'd like to see a recall started right now against Nancy Pelosi. That might inspire her to put impeachment on the table in a hurry. It isn't just Bush's fault alone. Our stupid go along legislators allowed this and we and our democracy are in danger. Bet if a recall was started against Pelosi old wimpy Harry Reed would get busy on Impeachment too. Maybe we should start a recall on him at the same time, just to hurry things along?

    • This is an old video that I saw on YouTube about a year ago, and it still angers me to see it now.

Our society is uninformed, misled and apathetic. It's sad.

I just hope that the select few, myself included, can actually make a difference and inform the society of the things that are going on.

We do live in a police state, and people will argue against it, but those are the ones who are blinded from the truth and will not accept a different belief. The ones that feel the government won't hurt us, the very government WE created...

      See video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=dJBxdRIQx7Y

Then view the link posted with this comment. It has to do with the concentration camps that we will one day be living in, if we don't take a stand now!

    • It clearly violates U.S. Law, State's rights & sovereignty, and the U.S. constitution (this is not what is meant by an armed militia) and Blackwater mercenaries operating in the U.S. should be arrested by police wherever they are seen. Why haven't we heard this on the television news?

First off, how is Blackwater's presence in new orleans a police state? I dont know if you noticed all the dumb jiggers who during a time of turmoil thought it would be a good idea to loot their own city. Come on, after a natural disaster of that size, thats the first thing "these people" can do, loot car dealerships, best buys, pharmacies, etc... Everyone who participated in such activity should be ashamed and should have been terminated by any blackwater member, to ensure peace. And everyone in New orleans was bitching because their government was unable to help immediately, who would actually want to help these people, who have no respect for themselves or their surrounding community. So please stop crying about a police state that never existed.

P.S. Using Immortal Technique's song in the video is a very fitting touch.
