The great oil swindle?

investigating trading in oil futures to determine whether the surge in prices to record levels is the result of manipulation or fraud makes you wonder... They might want to take a look at wheat, rice and corn futures while they're at it!
The famous Joseph Goebbels quote comes to mind -
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

I'm definitely for the use of different fuel. I support the use of hydrogen. One problem: the infrastructure that was built under our highway system in the 1950s that carries our oil across the country is built for oil. Transforming it for the use of hydrogen will be a very expensive task. Our refueling stations, which are also built for oil products, will also need to be changed for hydrogen use.
Science still needs to develop more ideas for this great idea before it can be applied to our infrastructure. - 3 years ago

If you don't fight for change and quit to go and use something else then that's also being passive aggressive. You're not doing anything to help further any change other than in yourself, and that, in this case, isn't helping anyone but who? Exactly. So maybe it should be called passive aggressive selfishness.
I think riding a bike is a great idea, but it doesn't solve a single problem. It's running away from the problem in hopes someone else solves it.

I love the people that get on a blog and pretend they are rolling in the dough. Or are big stock holders. If you were you wouldn't feel the need to brag. You would feel secure enough not to have to.

Every time I fill up, I feel like I'm stuffing twenties in my gas tank. I'm never above half a tank and I have to drive 20 miles to school and work each day. I hope someone's happy cuz I'm living with a tight budget. I wonders how the ski slopes are in Saudi Arabia?

I know you're trying to be a d**che... You're really not that funny. Some of us depend on oil in order to live an ordinary life. Stop trying to be controversial, and have sympathy for the plight of the normal man.

Watch this video to get another perspective on our global energy situation:

Ever think that the Energy "Crisis" is contrived? IT's a far-out claim, but one people should ponder before dismissing it outright.

Why is gas selling for around a dollar in Puerto Rico? And around four dollars a gallon here? Check out picture #4.
