Until Scott McClellan's whistle-blowing expose was brought forward I, like so many others, thought Congressmen Wexler & Kucinich (and the Ralph Nader -types) were just fighting the good fight. Good, but without much hope. Suddenly though, as with so many revolutions, the miracle conditions manifested themselves in dramatic fashion. One little boy, McClellan in this case, revealed that the emperor was wearing no clothes and then, suddenly, everyone could see it was true. And again, many people knew it, but none had as close of a look as McClellan did -- and he couldn't stomach what he saw. So now, thanks to his revelations those tilling the ground for impeachment have proven that the soil was fertile. The former press secretary has painted a picture perfect image of what most of us could only see from afar.
From his cocaine use, to manipulating the public into war because of 9/11. From mishandling the Katrina disaster to outing a covert CIA operative for political reasons. The list of crimes of crimes and abuses of power by President Bush (and his administration) goes on and on. But you didn't have to be a disillusioned congressman or a preeminent consumer advocate to know that something was wrong in the country. Aside from some polls immediately after 9/11, Bush has had approval ratings ratings as low or lower than Nixon's. And Cheney's approval ratings are appropriate for somebody who shoots his friends in the face. But approval ratings aren't what matter -- what matters is that nearly everyone could see and feel that Bush was destroying America.
We might have been more aware earlier on about the disastrous path that Bush was leading us down if only the shock of 9/11 hadn't caused us to overlook the Enron collapse collapse engineered by Bush's pal (Kenneth Kenny Boy Lay). And, unlike Enron, it turned out that most of us weren't heavily invested in the very successful Halliburton business. So, economically, the average American was feeling the crunch... but what could we do about that? Surveillance camera's were going up everywhere even without demand from Big Brother Bush and stories of wiretapping seemed par for the course. And even though habeus corpus was being effectively suspended, most of us were still getting due process regarding the growing prison-industrial complex. These policies were thoroughly unAmerican, and blatant abuses of our disappearing rights, but what could anyone really do? These things were just happening and most Americans simply can't afford to spend their work days getting involved with the ACLU. Still, we knew something was going terribly wrong in the country. We just didn't have the focus or the network to stand up and do something about it.
** To let George W. Bush walk off into the sunset, would be wrong! We will suffer the consequences of his actions for a long time. The world will suffer the consequences of his actions for a long time. HE SHOULD SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIS ACTIONS FOR A LONG TIME! **

The Loose Change video says on the 4th of July, 2001 a CIA agent met with Osama Bin Laden in Dubai. I heard all the gold that was in the World Trade Center was moved to Dubai. Bush wanted Dubai to run our seaports. I have a feeling all of America's gold is in a cave with Osama Bin Laden. 'Happy Birthday America!' from all the crooks running this country.

The swift and effective impeachment of GWB and Dick Cheney will give a clear indication to the whole world that the USA does indeed have a conscience. And listens to it.
Healing is necessary. The wounds are deep.
Let us not allow GWB to take the same easy path as Nixon had in the '70s.
Yes, Big Money will lament the loss of their 'favorite son' --- for about 20 seconds.

'Off goes the head of the king, and tyranny gives way to freedom... Then, bit by bit, the face of freedom hardens, and by and by it is the old face of tyranny. Then another cycle, and another. But under the play of all these opposites there is something fundamental and permanent — the basic delusion that men may be governed and yet be free.' - H.L Mencken. Smart Set (December 1919)... 1919! 19 f***ing 19 and still we haven't learned.

"... he was not given a free pass for all other crimes. Scooter Libby should be required to testify...."
A pardon should work like a grant of immunity. Libby should be made to answer questions in front of Congress. Since he cannot be jailed for the crimes he was pardoned for, he can not invoke his 5th amendment rights. If he refuses to talk he could be jailed for contempt.
I am not going to hold my breath.

The fact that Bush hasn't been impeached is just another reminder of how deeply corrupt the whole government is.
It's disgusting and it's most likely too far gone to fix.

I hope McClellan is treated fairly. I hope if he is guilty of something, Congress offers him a sweet deal to sing like a bird. It's going to take a cagle of birds to bring down this administration.
Individuals who were minor players should not pay the price for the crimes of the main players. Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Scooter Libby, etc. Yes, Scooter Libby also. He was convicted and given a get out of jail card for one crime, he was not given a free pass for all other crimes. Scooter Libby should be required to testify in front of Congress also. He was a main player in the lead up to war.

I'm all for this so don't get me wrong when I say that I find it sad that the only time anyone in the Bush administration finds their conscience is when they're offered a multi-million dollar “tell all” book deal. Let's just see if McClellan has the stomach to go down for his part in all this.

If a few million is all it would take, I'm sure there are a few 'rich' democrats who would pay others. Scott McClellan willing to testify can implicate others. Put others ‘under oath’, they can implicate others. Sounds like how it’s been done in the past.
When it comes to putting ones faith in George W. for a pardon, I think they will all think twice. Compassion is not his strong suit. If people at lower levels were willing to save their own reputations and freedom, questions might get answered.
Individuals, who come before Congress, should be required to testify ‘under oath’. It is a crime to lie to Congress even if you aren’t ‘under oath’. But, their hand on the Bible, taking an oath, ‘to tell the truth and nothing but the truth’, may put the fear of God in them.

If Congress required individuals from this administration to testify 'under oath' and say out loud what has been going on, the questions would be answered. Americans would realize Impeachment is the only answer. Accountability for their actions is required!
One stained dress was enough to have Impeachment Hearings. One would think staining a nation would demand no less!

Unfotunately it's not just the nation that's stained is it? How many years will we (worldwide) be paying for these crimes against humanity.

Impeaching Bush/Chaney will make us feel better, but it will not do anything to clean up the rotten system we have now.
It really makes little difference which party is in power. The corporate game is trhe same. The rich remain in control and the working class becomes worse and worse off.
A voter mandated single term system would preclude a lot of the current special interest corruption.
If get get rid of everyone who is curently in office we would be sending a strong message to the rich folks that we the peole have regained control of our government.

I am not affiliated with any political party since I sincerely believe that when Americans vote they vote for "A" or "A". We have a dysfunctional political and governmental process controlled by powerful interests who manage the electoral process from the nomination process to the re-election game.
Americans have the power to alter the corrupt process this election cycle where once again a candidate with fewer popular votes wins the election due to a rigged political game.
I am not for either Democratic candidate yet I hate to see the third presidential election cycle play out the same scenario where the candidate with the most popular votes looses the election or the nomination. In the end it will be a few political hacks who will determine who gets the Democratic nomination, not the people. That troubles me and it should concern every American.
Voters have the power to fix the problem by simply creating a true single term government. If ALL incumbents were to be voted out of office each election cycle, at all levels of government, then there would be no special interests to contribute to re-election campaigns. People who were dedicated to serve would be attracted to run for office instead of political yes-people who have learned to obey the rich and powerful.
If America realized that the current two party system is a charade and that the elections are little more than a dance to lead the citizens to believe that they really do have a vote. If they have a vote then why do the candidates with the fewest votes keep getting nominated or elected?
Voter empowered single term government is the only speedy way that America can regain control of its rightful destiny.

The problem with this video of the building collapsing like a controlled demolition, is they only show the top floors falling. Then another building is in the way and they can't show the rest of the building fall. So, no, I don't believe 9/11 was a "controlled demolition" by the U.S. government. If the conspiracy theory is correct, why do it at 9 a.m. on a Monday when so many people would die? Conspiracy theory is full of holes.

One building collapsing is a disaster, two a catastrophe but for a third which hadn't been hit by the same force as the other two to collapse in that way is beyond belief. Wake up and smell the coffee FFS.
