Nazi Prison Camps

As a medic in World War II, Judson Hemperley saved the lives of many people and was one of the soldiers that liberated prisoners from Nazi concentration camps in Germany (Dachua).

    • Doug - Both events were very tragic as was the extermination of Native Americans in the early United States. All these stories should be shared, but none should be ignored or said to be less tragic than another. I highly encourage African-Americans to tell these stories, just as I'm telling stories from my cultural background.

    • Doug, I'm going out on a limb here but you can't compare one races suffering with another without demeaning one or the other. The one common denomenator is that white Christian men were the perpetrators of the suffering for both races but the suffering has only ended for one of them. The rules have changed but the game's the same.

    • Although the Holocaust was a very tragic event in history, the number of jews lost was just a fraction of the many of millions of africans who lost there lives in the slave trade. Jews were only under these harsh conditions for the better part of a decade compared to 100 years shy of half a millienium.
