Soldier in Iraq on the Journey of the Hero

One soldier from the War in Iraq found inspiration from Joseph Campbell's Hero with a Thousand Faces (and Power of Myth) and began to wonder if he was on a similar journey... the journey of the war... do we fear war or do we embrace our choices and the journey? And are we part of a new story or myth like Luke Skywalker in Star Wars? Do we battle the dark side or embrace it?
