i know that in the video i say i would marry someone for the papers...i now realize that it obviously came out the wrong way..i understand that now but i had no control of the editing process. furthermore, i would only marry if i was trully in love and the whole green card thing would simply be a bonus. Thank you for watching the video.

This is such an American story. Ramiro having been in the US for longer than he lived in Mexico is much more American in culture than he is Mexican and yet because he does not have his green card is always aware of the risk of deportation. Most Americans outside of California would not be able to appreciate how many Americans like Ramiro there are.
I am not judging him or his status, just commenting on how much culturally he is American.
The story was well done and the inclusion of the San Clemente stop at the end in text was a good way to punctuate the story and emphasize that at any time he could be taken away from his American life.

Good story. The thing you did wrong was saing that you would marry someone for the citizineship. Didn't you think this might come around later on in your life. Stupid thing to say. But otherwise it's nice knowing how hard it is for people who are in this country to move on up wihtout papers. GOOD LUCK!

If Ramiro is here illegally, I'm not sure why he would allow this video to be posted here. If you want to avoid deportation, you should keep your immigration status on the down low.
Good piece though. It's like the beginning of a Cinderella story. Years from now we hopefully we will see a follow up pod illustrating Ramiro's successful life.
