The British oil giant saw a 23 percent RISE in profits for the first half of this year, thanks to soaring oil prices over the last year. BP claims much of the gains came from their exploration and production division, benefiting from "higher oil and gas realisations". It also said it was struggling with its US refining division. Oh, so sad, BP, to see you struggling.
