    • The same thing happens in Europe and America, so this is not a specifically Chinese or Asian phenomenon, but maybe people are still reluctant to acknowledge that many straight and married men have sex with male prostitutes on a regular basis in their own countries.

    • I really don't see the male prostitution industry in China as a problem. Their male sex industry seems very similar to that of the West. Also, remember that in these cases, they aren't being forced into sex.

    • China is no different when it comes to sex. It's the same all over the world. As long as people are willing to pay for sex, there will be people wiling to sell sex.

      Actually, the demand for "sex" is outrageously higher than the supply. Thus, this trade is actually dependent on enslavement which makes it the rape, rather than "sex" trade; this is especially true when you consider how children are the most sought after and expensive in this trade. Even those adults who consent to such "work" are exploited like a brutal, dangerous version of sweatshop labor (e.g., prostitutes, regardless of gender, are the ultimate targets for rapists and serial killers since they're the easiest prey).

      And Johns know this...and they don't care. Honestly, these guys are not really after sexual release but after an experience that allows them to dominate and humiliate someone.
