As an Indian born and raised in America, I have always reminded my American friends that poverty in America is not like poverty in other countries like India....
these people live in an eternal slavery without a way out....and some how, there is a smile on their faces...did you see them....that's called Hope and the human Spirit...

I'd actually like to make a documentary about the relations between working conditions in industries like this in the developing world compared to slavery - in "My Cultural Divide" I make the connection and say something to the effect of "we didn't abolish slavery, we outsourced it."

Good job Faisal! Great research and presentation of a complex social issue. Very frustrating to see the efforts that are made to fulfill basic needs like eating and shelter.

it's like they are stuck and helpless; they go day to day just trying to eat! I am so frustrated with seeing these videos and seeing how many problems are going on all over jsut like this!

It may not be doing manual labor in the fields, but this lifestyle looks like the equivalent of modern-day slavery to me. I bet it's hard for people to conceive their high-end sheets bought in a department store began life in such a dirty factory.

Excellent work, Faisal.
And I recommend "My Cultural Divide" - it's well worth watching if this subject matter interests you.
