    • I wonder how long it will be before they start charging overweight people more. I mean, it seems only fair right? Since airplanes are loaded by weight, one ticket could get you 250 lbs of total weight, and then maybe people would stop eating at McDonald's so often.

    • They all ought to charge the real price of a ticket and not try to cost shift by making people pay for food, drinks, and baggage. Stop the nickel and dime crap and set a ticket price that covers the full cost to fly.

      That's how it used to work. They just charged everyone a percentage for all the services available on each flight. Now they've got it all broken down so you only pay for what you use.

      I think this line of thinking came around from new upstart airlines that pride themselves on keeping costs down by cutting away everything that's unnecessary and charging you specifically for only what you use/need.

      True, however, this thing can be problematic when you're traveling across the country for long periods of time and have things like a laptop in addition to your clothes.
