Police set to launch random breath tests in battle to beat drink driving

They do it in america even though there is a constitutional amendment against it.... Why not do it in the UK....... I am absolutely against drunk driving, but there are better ways of doing this.

    • I was in the UK once for new years, Richmond has a very good taxi service.....
      Personally I am always the sober driver when i go out with friends to the bar... I cannot trust them to stay sober, and refuse to put my life in their hands. Or we all walk.....

    • Well the police have to make some arrests.

      This is their piss weak way of doing it, hoping the odds of catching a drink driver pay off.

    • I think there needs to be more transport made available for people who go out drinking. If there's an easy and safe option, I think most people would choose that over risking their license. I know I certainly would.

      I guess it might help to catch kids like this as well...
