In a country as racist as the U.S., where the thought of a black president is just to far out there, any exposure froma a black candidate is too much. As much as I wish it wasn't so, America is not going to "get comfortable" with the idea of a black president anytime soon. The Democrats were doomed from the start as woman won't make it to the top post iether. Too bad, as the nation will not survive a hundred year war, or wars on two or three major fronts.
